I have a '54 Hornet Coupe, Sky Blue, Twin H Straight 6 engine and it's started at -12F once. It's radio doesn't take long to turn on like this one though, and it is original.
very nice, my Dad has owned many prime Hudsons over the years. He currently has a '50. (and a '48) He's been a member of the Hudon / Essex / Terraplane club for many years. His is a Hornet, some rarer sports model, I believe. Black original paint, a back seat like a couch. Kinda step down into these cars. He's to old to drive it anymore, it's up in Nova Scotia . I never seen one that I remember in such a bright shade, stock color ? Very very nice, like a time machine .
@Cartman22100 They're not that rare, I mean they're rare but not really rare, I'm not sure about Germany though. A lot of old cars commen here in the U.S. are rare in Europe.
Too bad Hudson folded. They did nice work and had interesting ideas.

The first car that I remember was my father's '48 Hudson. He replaced it in 1951 with a Hornet.

@pfleeger2010 What they had before AC, works just as good but it doesn't eat the fuel as they do today.

When cars were real cars, not the downsized euro-cones of today.

What's the flap that popped up at 1:30? Is it a vent for the passenger compartment?
