Now that the Wings have clinched the Cup, I have to say that this was one of the best hockey games I've ever seen. I was going for the penguins. But congrats to the Wings, they deserve it. I also really respect the fact that the penguin fans stayed and were very classy and respectful. Although they did give some boos, I enjoyed the fact that they were mature about losing.
In the 3rd period and all of the overtimes it was all detroit. If pens would even come close to getting set up in wings zone, Detroit would get the puck back into pens zone and be set up in seconds. Pens were maybe set up and had like 3-4 scoring chances in 4 periods besides the goal... lol... pathetic play by pens they didnt deserve to win, only Fleury deserved to.
This was an incredible game but in game 6 the Pens just didn't play like they wanted it. Malkin made an incredible effort at the end but the Pens decided to win just a little too late. Being the Pens fan that i am i was almost brought to tears watching Nick Lidstrom take the cup after game 6. I was really looking forward to seeing Crosby hand it off to Malkin after a game 7 =[.

Sports is such a psychological thing. What happened with 34 sec left in regulation will change the destiny of the Penguins. It changed the team psych from "no matter how well we do in the regular season and the conference playoffs, we're no match for the elite of the Western Conference" to "we know we can beat these guys". That will carry over subtly all of next year. Hats off to a great warrior Pittsburgh Penguins, a great series, and of course a great NHL champion Detroit Red Wings.
