I left Glasgow in the early 90`s after being on the end of anti Irish racism when in my job despite my family having left Ireland for Scotland 100 years earlier. A typical sign in hotels or lodging houses in London in the 50`s and 60`s was "NO BLACKS, NO IRISH, NO DOGS" My wife is Polish ands I am saddened to say that the fantastic hard working Polish are now recieving similar discrimination in the UK.
