I think this is a great routine, but what I want to know is what is with these new costumes. It seems like nowadays at the competition systems regardless of age everyone is wearing a bra and hot pants. . . . What is with that?
It actually used to be against the regulations at some competition systems. Obviously things must have changed now considering what I see everyone wearing.
They're great, but I think this is far too provocative for 12 yr olds. I'd be worried if it was my daughter. Anyone could be in the audience. I know dance is just movement and art, but some people don't see it like that!!
I would want my kids to wait until at least 17 before doing this sort of thing.

i would tend to agree that this dance isn't slutty. but it is sexy. and do 12 year olds need to be sexy? I dont think so. They are talented and could go far on that alone. no need to sexy up beautiful dancers.
they are not being 'sexied up' at all. dance is about the body and soul. there is far more provocative material out there to be concerned about that a beautiful, soulful dance routine.
they are both very talented young dancers, and I enjoy the choreography alot. I did think they should do more dancing in sync, and not so much of their own thing though. I also think that their styles of dance are very different, and that it could have been cleaner- and if it werent for the choreography it wouldn't have done it for me. in my opinion it looks like they are performing two seperate solos, occasionally coming together, as opposed to a duet; but then again thats just my opinion. :)

wow there is a difference between sexy and slutty. you want to see sluty watch brittany hine...not that she isnt amazing,,,but this an extremely stylized dance and the excecuted it perfectly.
the "sexy" argument is so anoying. The song has pretty much nothing to do with sex. and there is a differnece between them being ADVANCED for their age, versus trying to shake their ass. the choreography is very detailed and matches the style of the music perfectly. why shouldn't they challange themselves and dance a little older then they are? face it theese are dance costumes in 2008 and it's gonna stay that way...complaining about it is so anoying!
OMG I now remember where I saw them! My studio was at NYCDA last weekend and they won the teen duet trio. Their new dance is even so much more amazing than this video. I remember they won the junior last year. I hope that someone can find this year's duet and put it on so we can see it.

As far as they're "moves" thats a really stupid thing to say too because they didn't do anything provocative at all...
A lot of people strip on stage at competitions and they didn't do anything nearly that bad...
