.. In this movement there are times when this precipitous forward leaning momentum is there. around 1:40 it is relaxed enough. But at the end I love that he does not let up on this youthful (16 year old Mendelssohn) exuberance . Listen.. the musical points are made .Even at 4:43 a little time is taken ... and then my favorite section from 4:46 to end ...this isn't rushing.. it is unbridled virtuosic abandon and passion. Play over the last 3 chords a few times. That's energy and attack!

....many great renditions of this score, it is great too to hear the "greats" play it, surging electrification of these notes......I'll have to listen to this about 30 times more...
