please tell me if it did have a plot then why make dragonball z kai?(note how they take out parts like the snake princess episode which was in the saiyan arc.) kai was made cause DBZ's plot always went off track and is scattered all over the place. i mean come on. first arc goku dies.brought back saves everyone.gets extremely injured. second arc same thing just new enemy. it did this for every arc. if you think im wrong ok,but watch the series again if you think my opinion isnt completely false

@DRAGONBALLPROTEST still either way you cant lie DBZ's plot was way over used. every arc new enemy ending with goku either dying or extreme injuries. later goku is revived or healed, beats enemy then either dies or extreme injuries. and over and over and over. and its overrated dude i mean seriously, i love the DB series but DBZ made the entire franchise overrated. guys who look like they are taking a dump while getting stronger, i can understand saiyans but ssj 2&3? too much.

why doesn't bulma never ages she was older than Chi chi in dragonball but appears younger than chi chi in dbz?

@hotwhire I know she ages the most but i was just only pointing out that she didn't physically age until later in the series. almost like goku and vegeta. vegeta didn't really physically aged til GT. Bulma appeared as a teenager for a while.

This video is a play by play??? Why dont people just watch the show. The shows good if you like good morals or good action. Its a all around great show. If you need help getting into the show, just watch it like pulpfiction. Now in order at first. I started out with Z then Db to GT.

@BOBOGHOST Analysis sheds light on things that certain people may not see about it otherwise. Watching the show and hearing an analysis of it are too totally different (and equally interesting) experiences. I've also heard the gawl that DBZ's plot "isn't that deep"... it's a hell of a lot deeper than what often passes for "deep" these days. This kind of thing shows that there are actually people who pay attention to the plot for all its worth - and who, indeed, know what they're talking about.

i barely remember watching these first few episodes as a kid. when i was about twelve i got back into DBZ and since then i've remained a really big fan of the series. the vid makes me want to bring out my box sets and start watching the whole series again lolz.

I think Piccolo started to change due to Goku's sacrifice in my opinion. I think even though Piccolo killed Goku, like he had been training to do, the fact Goku was not killed because Piccolo was stronger, but because he willingly gave his life to save everyone including Piccolo.

Really like this series of videos, brings back good memories.

@88BM Na he changed b/c of Gohan. Piccolo was Gohans first master and piccolo for the first time cared for someone else. they had a father and son like relationship. I mean Piccolo even sacrifced himself for Gohan one of the most epic scene.

@leatherneck0017 Yeah i totally agree Gohan is what changed Piccolo, but thats why I put 'started to change'. Sometimes there can be many situations that collectively change somebody overtime, e.g. it took Ebeneezer Scrooge all three ghosts before he became nice, though each one on its own did impact in their own way, it took the might of all three to completely change him.

@88BM yeah it seems to be the life changer for most villians in movies or shows,They also do that with the little girl in waterworld. She turns kevin Costern from a mean Acehole to a nice Acehole. also, Jerry Maguire, Interview of the vampire, or heroes. ect...

I don't see the point in this, the people who watch your videos already know the story, you're just wasting your time. That was maybe 1/4 of a season of dragonballz, and there are 9 seasons, it'll take about 36 parts to finish it and all about what people already know. What a shame.

And you'd be really surprised how few people actually know the plot.

@TheBeardOfPower I don't think people are having a go at the plot development. I think people are just pissed off how in a couple of years a guy (mind you, I am not one of these people. I am just pointing out what other people may not like) can go from just being able to blow up a castle and a stadium and all that type of stuff to being able to blow up a planet within one strike. Obviously, all of that is explained in the story, I am just saying what other people might think.

@TheBeardOfPower Just quickly, I am reading the chapter and it says nothing about him bringing back the moon. It just says he wanted the moon back but he took gokus tail. If I also recall, didn't master roshi fight a werewolf guy who couldn't turn back because the moon was gone and that was in the piccolo jr world tournament. Master Roshi had to create an artificial one to turn him back or was that only in the anime?

@captainsunder009 Actually, last tournament. Was when Krillin and Goku were still kids. And that's why Kami wanted his tail gone, and then the moon is back. Kind logical process here.
