This is awesome!! I used this method in my own game. Although I am having trouble with ZE in the Barheim Passage/West Annex.. I cannot seem to figure out how to make the ZE chest appear.... I am not using IZJS
man,i just tried this....BRILLIANT..soooo simple....lv.99 red chocobo spawn in booth group of chocobos in about 30 min of play!!!.if you created that excel programe:then u are genious!!!
i have tried 592 countless times; one before, right on, two rows before, one row after... NO LUCK....DONT USE ROW 592 by the way... my rng starts at zero
@steftus94 No. I recorded this video on the real thing. The spreadsheet explains how to use cure spells to find out and manipulate where you are in the random number generator.
I just tried a test at line 1587, and I'm sad to say I failed. My guess is that I didn't have one of the spawner chocobos. I began by using Niho-GoldenNeedle on the bottom chocobo in group one (after killing the initial six and 2-zoning). Then I killed everything else. Two chocobos came back near the group 1 point, so I chose the bottom one again - could this have been where things went wrong? I cleared out everything no problem, and was in the correct place in the list. Only L23 when it spawned
@JohnRayJr If all the surviving chocobos in a group are in your target window at the same time, the bottommost one is always the one that you should petrify, and any others should be slaughtered. So that part of what you did was correct. All I can say is double check your numbers, and make sure you're using my spreadsheet: one of the other ones on the internet has all of the RNG values moved by 516 ><
@flak76e One guy on gamefaqs said that his RNG starts somewhere in the 300s, so he could potentially get the chocobo at 592. I certainly can't; the earliest I can hit is the 715. He uses hard drive boot method for FFXII; perhaps that's why his RNG starts earlier?
You should use an excel spreadsheet to keep track of your RNG positions. One such spreadsheet is available from megaupload link in the video description.

Impossible to spawn him at 592 since the RNG starts at 500+?

@aetithjnsw Yeah maybe that changes the RNG somehow.

OMG this is amazing thanks for the video.
How do you know which RNG position when you cast Curaga?
