For me, Tales of Symphonia 2 has two things against it.

1) Monster collecting is near to impossible in the beginning of the game.

2) Tales of Vesperia, the superior game, came out just a few months before it.

But I still enjoy it. I hope Tales of Graces shows up in America.

I just started playing Vesperia after playing ToS2, and I gotta say, Vesperia simply isn't half as much fun to play. It looks great, yeah, but the combat, the characters, the voice acting... all of this is better in ToS2. Plus, what the hell is with most of the dialogue seemingly being text only? Where are the voices? All the story dialogue in ToS2 had voice acting.

Emil Castagnier was a boy living in Palamacosta with his parents Lana and Reysol.

Marta Lualdi was a girl living with her fahter Brute and her unnamed mother in Palmacosta.

Ratatosk used to be dormant at the Ginnungagap withing the Otherwordly Gate in

Tethe'alla.

Centurions Aqua, Ignis, Ventus and Lumen were dormant at their altars at the Sylvarant temples.

Centurions Tenebrae, Tornitrus, Solum and Glacies were dormant at their altars at the Tethe'Alla temples.

Alice and Decus destroyed the Hima orphanage many years before ToS and went missing together.

Richter and Aster were reserchers at Sybak Academy, Richter was probably locked up along with many other half-elves.

Hawk and Magnar are probably humans.

Aster and Richter found Aqua's core while researching Ratatosk, then, after she hatched they made a pact with her so she would take them to the location of Ratatosk.

You may be right about Tenebrae and the others, but Aqua couln't have been there since she took Aster and Richter there.

Besides, it seems that the Centurions, at least Tenebrae and Aqua have the power to teleport, so maybe while Ratatosk was being attacked and he beame aware of his dangerous situation, he hatched Tenebrae, being the one most attuned to his powers because they are both Dark elemental, and called him to the Ginnungagap, or he used his dimentional powers to bring him there in order to protect him when he turned into a core.

The only explanation is that Aqua arrived with Richter as stated in the game, while Tenebrae was brought or called by Ratatosk to protect him.

They should really use the motion capture in this game and apply it in future Tales games. It's a bit of a shame it's not being used in Vesperia...hopefully the movements in Vesperia won't be as awkward in the rest of the game like in the demo.
