Lennon wrote a beautiful song but the 1st time it ever grabbed me & wouldn't let go was when I heard Sam Harris sing this gospel version of it. I'm sure many people will have different opinions of who covered the song the best & obviously all are welcome to their opinions.

This is just my experience and I could watch or just sit & listen to this video over & over. I also have 5 friends in the middle east & pray for them every day. This, almost gospel, version of Imagine is like a prayer to me.

each of our stories has more layers than the one we normally 'only' see at first. if we dare not to hold on to our own prejudices and or bigotry we do get to behold beauty in each person and thing. I have protested every war since I was twelve, middle 60's, up through the present, yet have met soldier after soldier that I have more in common than most of the people I've stood with signs protesting. If we dare to open our eyes and see another's we find that the 'imagine' is truly possible. love

I hope to maybe become a USMC photographer as well, All the stuff i keep seeing from photographers in the Marines leads me to believe that it is an experience like no other, and I really want to experience it. If you could, can you maybe tell me a little bit about what it was like applying and becoming one? I am talking to a requiter soon about it, but I want to get a none bias idea of it.

for those that THINK they know what the soldiers are doing over there ... try listening to the words of our so called government and you will SEE that its the people in power that control the soldiers ... the soldiers are only doing what superiors are telling them ... its not the soldiers you need to fight against its the politicians ...and the american people wont stand up for themselves so they need someone to blame ... so they blame the messengers (soldiers)....

This is so depressing, and I'm not just referring to the photos--They all look so young; like they are under 25yrs old. I also read the data where the lyrics are--It is shocking... and I am sure there's more. ENOUGH!!! WAR is STUPID!!! The reasons for wars are "greed, ignorance and stupidity." Mr. President: "Please bring the troupes home!"

It's interesting to me you view the piece this way because with "the voice inside you will always speak the truth", I feel the song pricks our consciences about what the soldiers are doing over there.
