  • i need help with nine

  • You made this more simple than the instruction manual I downloaded, awesome job man!

  • You wouldnt know how long i avoided doing this? THANK YOU SO DAMN MUCH!

  • Thank you!

  • WOW! you learn something new every day

i have the same ryobi 775r and i have always took the string head off and wound it and then reassembled it.....after watching your video i will never do that again

    thanks for the video...nice job

  • thank u so much had same weedeater 4 6 years didn't know how 2 resting it look at your video help me alot thanks bro

  • Thanks for the information. The best video for placing a trimmer line. There are two lines that feed into the gas tank. The one line, that does not have an adapter, the line has erroded and is now too short to go into the gas tank. Where would I go to get one and how does it go on?

  • @Rachne24 Your welcome for the video. I get my fuel lines at a auto parts store in my town. An Auto Zone or lawn tractor sales/repair place should have what you need. Basically, the line just feeds down through the hole(s) in the top of the tank. You may have to get creative in pushing the line into the tank, I normally use a flat blade screw driver and gently push it on into the tank. There may be a video of doing this on YT, however I haven't uploaded one.

  • Thanks

  • dud...just bought a new one and spent over an hour trying to figure this out. thanks a million!

  • Thanks for the post, lawn looks great!

  • great video man.thanks for your excellent help.i never knew it was that easy.

  • Great video. Searched google for how to and couldn't find crap til your vid showed up. Excellent demonstration. Straightforward and simple. By the way, nice collection.

  • Thanks for taking the time to post this! I bought one of these at a clearance sale at EZ Pawn for 10.00, now I know how to string the silly thing! It starts and runs great, I know I'll have "fun" with it all season..

    Regards,

    Ray L.

  • Thanks for uploading this tutorial, it was hard to find how to restring this setup, now I'm up and running.

  • I used to have an electric trimmer that had this same style of head on it, I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately someone stole it off our front porch in broad daylight no less. Best electric weedeater I've ever used.

Now I have a brand new Ryobi that I bought earlier this year at Sears Outlet. It's curved shaft, and the head is a plain old spring loaded spool... but my god is it easy to start. I'd kill to find one of these older heads for this trimmer.

  • great how to vid, worked just like you said, couldn't find manual or any help online, godsend

  • Hey Brotha, thanks a lot. Looked up this video and I was good to go!

  • Wonderful video! Thanks a lot bro!!

  • I am smart... very smart, but not smart enough to figure this out in my own. I was about to throw that trimmer away. You changed that with your excellent demo. Thanks!

  • I just purchased a new 4cycle s430 and the string loads real easily too, you just cut 1 25' line run it through the alighned holes to center line then twist it in as you did .

  • Fantastic video...@ 2:50! I never knew about pulling the slack out of the trimmer head while re-filling!

I love my Ryobi 725r (same engine/same trimmer head/15" cutting diameter). I have had it for ten years, and also have the "click link" branch saw attachment, which has a very good steel blade alloy.

For smokefree performance, I use Mobil 1 - Racing 2T full synthetic oil in a batch of fresh gasoline. < Highly recommended.

2 stroke engines rule for all-angle use, lightweight machines!

  • dude thank u so much, now i can get my yards done and my sustomers won't kill me.

  • You literally SAVED ME!!!!~ thank you so much

  • Hey - thanks for the info - I actually have this trimmer (must be older because I have 2 metal wing nuts at the "click link" instead of the yellow know you have.

Anyway - I've had it forever, and it still runs great!!!! But is has been leaking gas this season. There are 2 lines that feed into the gas tank - one of them has a rubber "adapter" to hold it in place, and the other doesn't. The leak seems to be coming from the gas tank. Any thoughts???

    Thanks again

  • The way your gas lines are is normal, just make sure the line the doesn't have the "adapter" is up inside the tank about 2 inches, any less and it can pull out easy, I have had the same problem before on mine, do that and you shouldn't have any more troubles.

    Thanks, Erik

  • @76hotrodF250 I agree with you about your Ryobi model is great. i just got a Ryobi ($40 bargain unused )and i am having fun with this great little machine, i plan to get another one coz envy your collections. hahaha Thanks for this great video.

  • I was shopping online for a new trimmer, because I also have my dad's old Ryobi and did not know how to restring it.

Thank you SOOOO much for this video. Well done, and so helpful!! I'm sure my neighbors want to thank you, too!!!

  • oh thank god you just save me lot of time thanks a buch we have same one as yours now i know how do it

  • Your welcome, and Now you know....And knowing is half the battle....G. I. JOE!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU for this video. You've saved my sanity! (... well, it might be too late for that, but...)

  • looks simple enough.

    the engines are the problem
