I can see they're playing but even at that age the deer can still do some serious damage to that dog, and the family too. I'm just wondering what you plan to do once Theen has grown up? we as humans have taken over nature. who keeps a deer as a pet? seems selfish and greedy. regardless if it is one of those "oh its lost from its mother and we saved it!" situations. a deer is a wild animal and will Never be domesticated. give that deer to an animal rescue that will introduce it back into the wild.. unless you are a trained qualified animal rescuer stop being selfish and give this deer back to nature... where it belongs.

I love this video. I think it must be hard for people to see a deer that was found as an orphan and raised by humans. this shows that they are just as social, loving and playful as dogs. when deer attack as a survival instinct when they are approached. they don't know who/what to trust. they eat vegetation and are peaceful animals unless they feel threatened. I don't blame them! they are intelligent animals and I'm sure have lost family members to predators. I'd be wary too.
