Looks like it was a pretty fun game. I'd sure love to one day play some of Looking Glass Studio's games. Maybe GOG.com will release some of old titles like System Shock 1 & 2, Terra Nova, and maybe even Thief 1 & 2. The Ultima Underworld games also seem interesting.
@d4nx2y Quake 2 was waaay later than Terra Nova. In fact Terra Nova came out the same time as Quake, and was unfortunately overshadowed by it. It was Looking Glass' flagship game at the time, but it wasn't in 3-d, and at that time everyone was crazy for the new 3-d of Quake, and buying Voodoo cards like crazy, so Terra Nova failed to recoup. Such a sad little story in the history of game development, Looking Glass were one of the best devs of the time, but they never recovered.
I played the crap out of this game back in the day. Such good concepts executed so well for its time. I used to just watch this cutscene for fun, not often u see the bad guy win it!
This game not selling, System Shock 1 and 2 not selling and Looking Glass going bust because of lack of sales is the anchor around PC gamers necks that is going to bring us down! It's the biggest shame we as gamers should have about ourselves!
I still mourn Looking Glass, but I think that their legacy lives on a bit with something like Bioshock. Still Bio is more of a shooter with a story tacked on rather than the intricacies of these earlier games... :(
one of the best games I've ever played for sure. I still hope that one day an 'updated' version will come out. Same storyline, and at least the same possibilities, because those are still good enough now, even more then 10 years later. Only thing we need is ... better graphics & sound.
I love this game so much, and it saddened me the day LG went under. I have SUCH great ideas for a second, but sadly, I know they'll never come to fruition. I hate to see this game die. It... kinda pisses me off, actually. Such potential... wasted.
@AYust22 I would love to, and I've tired in the past. I got laughed off one forum board for my 'innocently and comical naivitivity'. However, the ideas, and a half-written script still remain on my computer, and should the opportunity arise, I shall share them. But for now... I'll bide my time.
God, I miss this game. It kicked so much ass it's not even funny. At the time, I thought it was a revolutionary game because it was one of my first times where it was 3D and had the functionality it did with weapons and views, etc. Even mapping things out had sooo many tactical advantages. Great recon game!
Played it 10 yrs ago. By looking at that clip, thought "why not give it a go again and do better on the LAST MISSION where you REALLY GET ASS KICKED!!?" (lol)
Whoever loved Terra Nova...ROCKS!!! everything about it was epic n quality at that time :D Terra Nova for life!!! thought i'd never find it's videos haha! lets jus hope that ONE DAY they'll come up wit a sequel!!! jus like StarCraft did!!! glad ppl loved this game as much as i did!
Can't get around the choppy in the intro, but the game plays fine and movie cutscenes between missions are also okay. I run DOSBox with a front end called D.O.G. which allows easier fine tuning.
Thank you very much for posting it, I played this game when I was like 5 years old. Reminds me when my dad bought games to me just because I ate my vegetables lol....

Unfortunately Looking Glass went bankrupt and closed. A sad sad day when the makers of this gem and the TRUE Thief:Dark Project went down...

@Xenolord Id say you should share those ideas because some game makers would love to remake this game =]

It was my DOSBox being retarded. It is kinda choppy. I'm workin' on getting it fixed. So sorry about that.

verry good game, but I have to say that the guy got his head shot off on the first seen which is kind of sad.
but still a verry good game.

Huh?That was my favorite part of making the cutscene! The funny aspect of the scene sort of
overplayed any dark aspects of the headshot..
