Scope will never sight in properly. I have a PSL, I hate it. Well hates a strong word.. I want to trade it in. The receiver will distort when firing any surplus round. I shot open sights @100yds, 1.5 to 2MOA. Scope a 1 foot pattern. I have 3 scopes, all do a barn wall moa. The round is too heavy for the receiver. I have had better sucess with Wolf 147gr new ammo= 6" pattern. Its not the scopes, its the receiver. There too damn flimzy.
@Antibacterialspray01 Mine sighted in quite easily. What you might be experiencing is barrel flex. Are you shooting it rapidly, or at the recommended 1-2 rounds per 30 seconds?
@darkminstrel I don't shoot rapid. Just normal 3 to 5 rd groups. Not sure what this 30 sec delay is? shouldn't have to put a time between shots? Thing is, I get 1.5 to 2 MOA open sights all day @100yds. Its bizarre. I know. With shooting great open sights, it only leaves the receiver or the scopes at fault. If I shoot great open than I can rule myself out of the picture? 3 Scopes... the orig4x, 2- 6x42 one fixed other variable. What do ya think? Thanks for reply
@Antibacterialspray01 The PSL was designed as a squad support weapon. The operator was designated to use open irons to 300m, then optics at 300+m. The barrel is damned thin, so single rounds spaced out is best to prevent walking the shots due to barrel flex. You may also want to tighten up your scope base latch, see if that has an effect. And sight in at metres, not yards.
@darkminstrel well... gonna hit the gun show this weekend and trade it in. Appreciate your feed back. I think I am done with Romanian & Russian stuff. But to answer your questions, yes scope rails are tight, gun was sighted in Meters but that day were shooting yards, no big deal. Mil-dot scopes. I don't like the Chevrons they use, Open sights were fired @ 100m and set. Anyways thanks appreciate it
