Has anyone noticed that the main character is like a less annoying version of Chris Thorndyke from Sonic X

Well, both Taroh and Sonic's character design from Segaga look as if become the base for Sonic X' Chris and Sonic.

Though Taroh is more of the typical hotblooded type hero (like Sonic the Hedgehog), while Chris is more of the typical sensitive type hero (like Silver the Hedgehog).

Which made one wondered if Toei Animation done Sonic X instead of Tokyo Movie Shinsa, but I guess that Toei Animation was already busy with one game franchise.

Yes, Sonic wasn't in the ending, quite puzzling.

Assuming that he didn't get injured heavily during the big battle, it's most presumeably that he was assigned to guard Sega HQ. While Alisa, Alex, and the others pick up Chris... er, I mean Taroh.

He's more of a down to earth hedgehog instead of a space borne hedgehog. Shadow was still in development when this game was still in development though.

Besides, Alisa and Alex would get too eclipsed by Sonic's star power at the ending.
