I am a Star Trek fan, but the back ground song of this commercial scare me! It not look like a Star Trek song, it look satanic. The kind of song they play when they do a human sacrifice on a Star Wars fan with a klingon knife. What they thinking?!!!
OMG! I loved these as a kid. The only alien I had was the Klingon, but the Enterprise bridge made up for that! I still have Kirk stuffed away in a drawer.
The mego gorn figure was the same as the Lizard figure from spiderman, just painted different.Too bad the commercial exec's didn't know anything about Star Trek.LOL
half human half lizard ehhh? So its spock's brother in law? Or did they just read off the box from the Spiderman foe the Lizard. Thats where they got the toy for sure. Im surprised they didn't say the Klingon was half ape since he has a planet of the apes suit.
That's the first thing I think of when I remember these from the '70s. Someone said "Come up with music for Star Trek doll commercial" (They didn't call them 'action figures' until the '80s). So some genius goes, "I know! Let's have some guys say 'Star Trek' over and over again for an entire minute."
Actually, "Balok" was the "puppet" and diminutive alien. The Keeper was the lead Talosian torturing Pike. But the figure certainly resembles the "false" Balok more than a Talosian.
"Scottie"? I thought it was "Scotty"? Bounty maybe?

Interesting...I thought "The Keeper" threw Voyager into the Delta Quadrant?

Can't really tell from the image quality, but I think it's referencing the aliens from Talos VI from "The Cage".

You can tell the people who made those figures didn't know much about Star Trek.

The music in this scares the hell out of me. It's like satanic chanting.

"The Keeper"? Wasn't it established that it was a PUPPET? Wow. Sad.
