"Because we're hungry!"... I just now realized that America is a third world country where the people would starve if it wasn't for trash-food. In a normal country, the kids would realize that they can choose, but in the US, probably 50% of the population can't even afford proper food.
i was browsing through a couple of old comments. i still do not get why people have a problem with this food, granted certain processes change the food a lot and we are raised to know everything pure from nature is good, but i don't see a problem if it tastes and it has enough nutritions. now please stop the hating towards America, some people over there have other customs but the majority is just as anywhere on the planet, human, so stop insulting ENTIRE nations based on stereotypes.

We can make chicken soup from the chicken bone and it is packaged and sold in the market, and we eat the skin as one of the kinds of yakitori, but no bones! Shortening might be used for fried potato and bread. I still can't understand why people just get bigger by eating these junk food, because of the high ratio of fats in the food? I actually got sick some days ago by eating big steak from Japanese cow. I just ate way too much. I should have eaten rice with it!
he forgot about the head and feet and eyes. then he forgot to sanitize it with ammonia and add artificial flavor to cover up the taste of ammonia. and lastly food coloring to make it look edible and not a nasty pink color. - thats how fast food franchises do it.
Its not really bad that they are eating the gristle and scraps of the chicken, its bad that they pour harmful chemicals in it to clean it and try to make it into something other that what it naturally would be.

What bad is the addtional flavoring and stabilizer. There is nothing wrong with using leftovers to make foods. Of course the nuggets from leftovers are not the same in quality as the nuggets from breast cuts, but as long as they are cheap and does not taste like ass, I have no problem with it.

When you roast a chicken most of the fat and juices from the bird gets soaked up by the skin - then you eat it. The skin itself isn't supposed to be that bad for you, but I dont see how anyone could like eating skin.

EW. Once something makes me sick, I lose an appetite for it. I received food poisoning from Baja Fresh and McDonalds. They use all sorts of chemicals and fillers w/ skin and marrow. Everyone needs to pay more attention to what they are eating from these places!

I think the problem of the experiment is on the presentation method, not on the context of experiment itself. When Jamie told the kids the objective of the experiment is to "use the leftover for food", children may think that what's made should be OK for eating.

this is rediculous.....where i come from we use all of the animal for food....yes its not the best cut but its still nutritionally acceptable. of course people will be repulsed when the music suddenly changes....he violently chops. if you showed kids how I clean my salmon they'd b ready to throw up too

Preservatives and chemical additives aside, has it been proven if pulverized bone matter and marrow are bad for us?
UusWis makes a good point: Why do people always claim (see LIE) that bone-in meat, which BTW is just more expensive tastes better than boneless? Why is it ok to use those parts for soup stock if they're so scary?
