This movie was retarded. Nothing like the original (which I love), and even stole punchlines and placed them completely out of context. At certain times, it's too silly, and others, too serious. They never quite found the serious/zany balance that worked for the original, and what brought so many people to love the series.

I have hopes for this movie, and I admit that Don Adams is irreplacable. However, considering all the actors for Maxwell Smart's role, Steve Carell was probably the best choice. He's one of the few people who could act serious and still be a complete blunderer (you know, just like how Don Adams was in the series). Definitely going to see it in theaters...5/5

Absolutely! Nick needs to bring back Get Smart for sure! Damn, Barbra Feldon was HAWT as HELL!!! Warhol even did a painting of her. Don Adams was Maxwell Smart. The entire character was based on his stand up routine which he developed over many years. Nobody will ever be able to replace Don. Period. The show's premise was based around Cold War hysteria, that plus the shoe phone would be completely lost to today's young audiences. This film is destined to be a train wreck!
