@david0861513636 Very unlikely - do you research, alcohol + heroin CAN kill you, I've taken huge doses of codeine and alcohol and I'm still here.

Also OPIATE pain killers can be addictive, NOT painkillers, you cannot get addicted to paracetamol aka acetaminophen or ibuprofen or asprin.

@Corrupt5358 You are correct, it is the abuse of OPIATE pain killers that are a concern when it comes to addiction. However, when taken as prescribed for the management of pain, addiction is rare.  Opioids can produce drowsiness and, depending upon the amount taken, depress breathing. Taking a large single dose could cause severe respiratory depression or death. Taken with alcohol, the risk of life-threatening respiratory depression is increased.
