@theagentoop nah, i doubt it. there are no differences on the xbox and ps3 controller besides the names of the buttons and location of the analog sticks. therefore controls probably stay the same.

@hourzones Did I say it was a big deal? I just commented on something someone else decided to comment on. Although, if that's the way you want to take it then I'll say this. You don't have to be an expert at many games, it usually requires either patience or basic common sense. Phil has played games for most of his life, there is no "big deal" to understanding basic controls, especially since it's a determining factor in beating any game. His go-to complaint is always the controls.

You can use first person shooting to pop them off from a distance. It's a really useful part of the gameplay. Aim for the head.

@AkumaTetsuo There is no "right way" To play a game. However, any normal gamer whether it's a hardcore gamer or not, can usually figure out simple button controls. Phil is in his 30's, has been playing games for more than 4 years now, common sense would be trying out every button, reading the manual, and knowing the controls ahead of time, basic controls. Common sense isn't common enough anymore.

Phil relax,mgs is a game where you dont rush. When it says alert in red that means they know your there if they dont where you are its called evasion where your supposed to hide until it reaches caution. caution in yellow is when theyre gonna start finding you they know all the places you may hide so becarefull and after caution everything is back to normal hope this helped.

@NorieagaHDR Well I didn't ever run and gun. If you combine the term "stealth" and the term "run-and-gun" you aren't playing MGS the way it is meant to be played. (for example I never ran, I always used tranqs in first person, and I would never run into walls unintentionally)
