Very Janelle Monae....love it, and a protective style to boot. And for a bonus? You can have a lot of "fun" :-) when your hair's tucked away like that...and just a head scarf a little later, and you're ready for bed....SWEET. Can't wait until my hair is long enought for that.

REALLY NICE! Beautiful creation. you know, sometime it seems that the best styles are when we just let out hands do the work without thinking about it, just do it. It's almost as if our hair tells us which direction to go in which is why I don't use combs anymore to detangle my hair. I get a better feel for it when I use my fingers.

i don't know if you've ever done this, but could you do a video on your essential hair accessories? hair combs, bobbie pins (open or closed kind, size), etc. it seems like there are certain items that are really good to have for protective styles. even though i've been natural a long time, i'm just now trying to make an effort to do protective styles besides a bun and two braids. this would be very helpful. thanks.
