Nicci, you are truly worth the comparison with Lisa Gerrard - in fact I landed on this site having googled 'scully's theme' expecting to find that the performer *was* Lisa Gerrard!

I am a massive fan of her work, and now yours. I know I'm a bit behind the curve (still catching up on old episodes of the X files!) but thank you for such a moving piece. And I'm glad it has such personal significance for you as well.

Such a beautiful song! but it's so strange whenever i hear it's it makes me fell like i wanna cry! i think it's because it was always used for sad scenes in the x files, and now that's all i can think of. But over all i love this song and think it's beautiful! <3 :)

Am I the only one that laments that this piece isn't longer? I'm well aware that great things come in small packages, and this piece is beautiful as it is, but part of me also wishes this was a minute longer or maybe turned into a full suite based off of the vocal melody.

Nevertheless, this is gorgeous. I love it.

This song makes me tear up EVERY time I hear it! This is one of the most moving pieces from the X-Files series. It is so beautiful and touching. Mark snow is truly a genius and Nicci has such a wonderful voice--perfect for this! Thank you to both of them, and thank you to Freeka 1977 for posting this!

Wow... As I watched this recurring theme, (no offence but..) I wouldn've sworn it was Lisa Gerrard. Very similar singing style and voice.

No matter, this is such a beautiful track. Both Snow and Sill have such awesome talent.

This is Nicci Sill.I had the honor of co-writing this with Mark Snow, & I am the vocalist on this track. This video brought tears to my eye's. I lost my mum too, almost 17 years ago now. She was young & beautiful, only 48 years old when she passed and I would like to think that she can hear this song wherever she may be.
