A belief in family is always a good answer. Unfortunately families rarely stay together these days.

Individual liberties and freedoms are what united Americans, but since "We The People" have forgotten those principles, government will once again over-regulate and over-rule.

Now socialism will unite Americans by force... good luck :-)

It is the Constitution and Individual Liberty. We are all free, created by the same God that gives us all the same inalienable rights.

The thing that unites us is a document called the Constitution. Something that has sorely been missing in our everyday speech. Our founders endeavored tirelessly to give us this free republic and we have forgotten.

What unites us is the possibility of coming together to fulfill the promise of humanity and of America in particular. Things have to fall apart and everything not in harmony with what is possible has to crumble to make way for what is next. In that respect what is happening these days is profoundly good news.
