Met Sean Bonniwell, such a nice man that graciously let me pick his brain about music and seemed genuinely exited to talk to a fan!! Totally ordering his book
Interesting how the Ramones took their fashion cue from The Music Machine in both the hairstyles and matching outfits. It worked well for both groups. Although Wikipedia lists the organ sound as Farfisa, I could swear those are Vox Continental legs in this video. I agree with Paullonden, above. These guys are badass!
Apart from obvious musical ingenuity [goes without saying], their style and moves are brilliant! ahhh there are only a select few places you can go to dance to classic 60s psych garage .. I'm just lucky enough to live somewhere where timeless young innovative lads like Rhys Webb, and co blast out psychedelic tunes till the early morn - THE PSYCHEDELIC SPIRIT IS STILL KEPT ALIVE!
The lead singer and lead guiar player switched guitars from a previous video of this song....there manager or stage director probably said it "looked" better that way....

Well, I always thought that my father was a musical marvel, and a literary one as well. It is incredible now to see my son's (sean's grandson) musical ability. It's raw yet unmistakable.
Well a million thanks to your father for this classic. It was a necessity on the playlist of any self-respecting garage band of the 60s. Just great to see it here in all of its 1966 splendor.
Watched this live,Bought the album-can't really say they were the 60's "garage" style or any other way of finding a slot to put them in--just a band of the times-changing so fast -types or files don't fit!
Heck, why do think the Ramones were good. They had their roots in 1960's garage. They have even done a few covers of this type of stuff. Punk rock was invented in the mid '60's. or those who have heard as much '60s garage music like myself knows this fact. Of course they weren't singing about suicide and making noise like the late '70s and early '80s stuff. I like "New Rose" by the Damned and some other stuff of the same type. Their haircuts are no worse than the Heavy Metal 'women' look.

The Page boy court hair cuts are stupid looking. I wonder how many times the dork drummer had his ass beat after gym class, with his under ware pulled over his head?? hee
Eons ahead of their time!!! make listen this song to a boy of 16 he will believe it's a new single just recorded from some young band...Sean Bonniwell is the best!!
on Sunset in Hollywood. One of the few bands of that era that could bring it live. Non stop energy and a cut above the musicianship at the time. The one black glove on the picking hand was a great touch. Goth before it was sheik with the all black outfits. Classy and timeless rock.
Pretty radical stuff for 'ole American Bandstand!

3Rubee, your right, these guys combined so much in a less than 3 min. song than most do today in a 5 min. song.
