  • The Referee Got Slightly Emotional.

  • Bret and Sting should've been a team and fought against NWO, would've utilised Bret a lot better in my eyes.

  • fans in front row with the fist pump

  • that's why this announcer is thé retard of TNA

  • is sting dead???

  • @MrXxx95xxx

    NO

  • what a referee ... loooooooooooooooooooool

  • that has to be the most melodramatic ref I've ever seen

  • my big thing is randy orton rko its fucking ddp diamond cutter hmmm i wounder who used that first hahahaha hmmm who used the tomb stone first undertaker or kane who invented the slimjim macho man or the madness ooooooooo yea rip macho man

  • @MegaMma4life you have a point there dynamite kid and tiger mask were one of the first to use the tombstone piledriver in japan and nobody did it better than Owen hart lol as Steve Austin found out.

  • all this debate on who performed the move better and whos was better who cares its the same fucking move there is no diffrence sting did it longer sting was a big giant name in wcw before bret was bret and lets face it wcw was the better show had more viewers wcw almost forced wwf to fold bret hart at the end of his wwf run was a house hold name probly more so then sting because of his gimmick because sting disappeared for yr and that was brets last in wwf if im wrong o well its wrestling haha

  • @MegaMma4life I look back on WCW and I don't find it better than what the WWF had.

But i find MMA loads better now Wrestling has had its time and now its over and WWE and TNA might as well fold its just pure crap what they put on.

  • That's a picture perfect sharpshooter

  • I loved the WCW United States Title, even more than the WCW Title back then.

  • @Dromato Me too. Seemed it had way more prestige

  • I like Sting, but as a HUGE Bret Hart fan, this was a SWEEEEEEEEEEET moment. =)

  • wat's with the referee...

  • what's the matter with the retarded ref?

  • Cot damn that song was ass. I liked his first and last WCW themes better.

  • Take that Sting! Overrated trash!

  • @WillFoSkill fuck you,sting ain't even overrated,

  • God so much debate on who used the move first. I watched both programs as a kid, Sting was using the scorpion deathlock for quite a long while before Brett started using it. Sting was also very well known by the time Brett ever used it. Now Sting did most likely get the move from another wrestler, but I have little doubt Hart was aware of sting using it prior to his using it. It's not like Sting was some unknown wrestler at that point, he wasn't on WWF but ppl did watch the other show

  • That ref really sucks at selling

  • Bret Hart stole the sharpshooter from some guy. Sting stole his persona from "The Crow". And Kurt Angle stole his moves from "Chris Benoit, Ken Shamrock, Taz, and countless others. In the end Bret Hart has more of a legacy than any of these other wrestlers. Sorry to point that out.

  • @Giggity226 KONAN taught bret hart how to use the sharpshooter

  • string xD

  • Sharpshooter > Scorpion Deathlock

  • Konnan actually taught the move to Hart

  • man the ref got hurt by the sharpshooter too!

  • bret was a dumbass back in those days and p.s nWo 2000 is the worst faction

  • @MrZeusw2345 from 0:05 to 0:24

  • Bret stole that move from Sting.

  • Riki Choshu did invent the hold, but Sting was seen in this hold first in the US. Bret didn't use it until 1991 when he was embarking on a singles career. It would've been nice if there was a 3-way match between Sting, Hart, and Choshu.

  • This isn't what his wcw music was. I never heard this before

  • 0:20-0:27 LMFAO watch the ref...

  • whys the ref acting like that when he calls for the bell

  • @ccsuk Probably took a referee bump....that means he probably got KO'd before Bret did something illegal to win, or someone came to help him beat Sting.

  • lol look at the ref when the bell rings

  • bret should go to TNA

  • @TravDudesVids agreed!

  • Isn't Sting's "Scorpion Deathlock" the Same as the Sharpshooter? So Bret Hart is actually applying Sting's own submission move on him unconsciously.

  • @ginreikojaku17 sting stole it from bret bret has worked longer then sting so he cant have stolen it from sting

  • @u57600118 no I believe they both started around the same time and Sting used it before him. Also it was originally called the Sasori-gatame or Scorpion hold which was used by at first Riki Chōshū who created the move.

  • bret had a gay theme in wcw techno but that shapshooter was dirty

  • Was Bret a heel

  • Was Bret a heel

  • The one thing that doesn't make sense here was that, this was a match for the US title. I mean, that's a bit of an insult for both Sting and Bret. Where was the WCW belt? Why weren't they the main event?

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat they only deserve main event shots

  • Yeah! Exactly! if IF you watch WWE now

A what carder therefore non-main eventer holds which title?

    A. The Hardcore + European titles

    B. The Intercontinental + U.S. Title

    C. The Tag titles

    D. B and C.

  • This was glorious.

  • ..brets music in wcw sucked..

  • @ant0586 I like the wwe version

  • @ant0586 very true ... he went through a shit load of themes in wcw.. his last theme though before he got hurt was really good though

  • @ant0586 All of brets music sucked.

  • @SinestroCW his WWF music is legendary and instantly recognizable but yes all his WCW music sucked

  • @ant0586 if we make real talk evey music from him sucks

  • wtf happened to the ref?

  • No...Sting used him before, Bret just made the Sharpshooter popular and famous. And no, Sting isnt the Innovater of the Sharpshooter, Hart didnt invent him either. It was a Japanese Worker who invented him.

  • Correct. Riki Choshu invented the move and called it the Scorpion Hold (sasorigatame). Sting used it well before Bret Hart, who actually learned the move from Konnan. And if my memory serves me correctly, Ted DiBiase used it as a finisher at one point in his career.

  • You're both spot on. Sting did use it before Bret. Who made it popular in the states? I guess that depends on if you were a WCW or WWF fan at the time. I was both, so in my eyes Stinger made it popular. However to most people the Hitman is the one who made it popular. Hitman applies it better than the Stinger in my opinion though.

  • I bet this was a good match

  • sharpshooter actually hurts...i made my lil cousin cried once...i still feel bad but what u gonna do i was just a kid

  • lol the referee is giving a solo in the whole video...notice him

  • dumbass bret got the sharpshooter from sting patt patterson gave bret the idea when looking for a new finisher read up on ya history kiddos

  • Bret started doing the sharpshooter long before sting was doing the scorpion death lock

  • 4 sure

  • um, no sorry. Sting used it way before. Bret Hart didn't even know how to use it, konnan had to teach him how to do it. I read it in Bret Harts Book. I suggest you dudes do some research, its always good.

  • Hitman is a wrestling master, I don't think he had to be taught it by someone else, even though I'll concede that maybe he wasn't the first one to use it.

  • You know, I agree with you. Hitman is a wrestling master, but konnan did teach him the move. Bret did not have a finishing hold and i think brisco suggested he use the sasori gatame (scorpion lock/hold) and got konnan to teach him.Bret thus named it the sharpshooter. I'll admit he applies it the best. If you do not believe me watch his DVD, or read his book. Breat Hart says this himself. Sorry for the long post lol.

  • Maybe I'll read it sometime.

  • Sasori-gatame meaning Scorpion Hold. Invented by Mitsuo Yoshida better known as Riki Chōshū Also known as a cloverleaf leg-lace Boston crab, standing inverted figure four leglock, and Scorpion Deathlock. Sting did it before Bret but Chōshū did it first and best.

  • He is the excellence of execution you dumb-ass announcer. And that's why you are out of a job and Bret Hart's a hall of famer.

  • What ? Of course Bret is a Hall of Famer !

  • Not with the WWE; Brett turned down the Hall of Fame induction from Vince several times now.

  • Wrong.

Bret was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2006. Steve Austin inducted him.

    Looks like you missed out.

  • nah bret is in the hall of fame now, check it out

  • Well, damn. I've missed a lot in the WWE. I guess that's what I get for watching better wrestling. DX

  • wow are you fucking serious? If Bret Hart doesnt deserve the hall of fame nobody does....that was said best by good ole JR.

  • He is in the hall of fame, silly.

  • Two things...

    1. Bret Hart is my all time favorite wrestler & the reason that I became a wrestler in the first place.

    2. The announcer is MIke Tenay. He is currently EMPLOYED by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA for short) as an announcer & has been for many years now. Being 13 years old I can see as to how you wouldn't know this though, because this was WAY before your time.

  • @ThePerfectOne95 kayfabe anyone?

  • @ThePerfectOne95 someone takes this a little too seriously

  • @ThePerfectOne95 Actually Mike Tenay is in TNA as an announcer. :P

  • @ThePerfectOne95

One announcer was a wrestling legend. The other was Bobby Heenan (No introduction necessary) and the other one although a gigantic wanker has a job - TNA.

  • i dont know the song of bret...

i thought he had just 2 in wcw....the one he had when he came und the one he had when he joined the nwo and last till his departure

  • lol wonder which does more damage sharp shooter or deathlock? mybe same because their pretty much same accept diff way they hold like sting hold with 1 hand

  • the sharpshooter because it hard to reverse to hold but that is what i been told

  • They're both the same move.

I like how Bret does the Sharpshooter though. Just look at how he does it her- he pulls back on the legs and arches the back.

  • wow great sharpshooter i think its the best.bret the excellence of excution we love you bret

  • "oh, bologna"

  • lol

  • why thumb my last comment down whoever you are its true 2 japanese guys taught him proper wrestling cus they worked for stu and looks like someone out there doesn't like the fact that the japanese are the best wrestlers out there go and watch them wrestle they'll show you how its done thats why bret and owen and benoit were so good technically and there are many others i haven't mentioned due to the lack of space on these comment boxes lol

  • whats wrong with the ref

  • Haha!

  • wats with the ref?

  • 2 japenese guys taught bret how to wrestle

  • true. I think they were called Mr. Heeto and Mr. Sakarata. Its on the DvD, Bret Hart: The Best there is, The best there was , the best there ever will be

  • Bret Hart rulezzzzz z z !!

  • wtf look at the ref.

  • did u guys know that konnan taught bret hart the scropian death lock which he later modified and called a sharpshooter

  • i heard it was Stu Hart Brets dad who taught that move.

  • in the bret hart dvd in an interview he said konnan taught him when he was in japan

  • This is true. Bret confirms it in his book.

  • Wow Bret's WCW theme was horrible

  • the scorpio death lock to sting!!!

  • When Bret first went to WCW, this was my biggest dream match. But this match I don't think was as good as it should have been. They didn't really need a story with this one, hell neither should have been in the NWO. I just think a regular match, no dirty finish would've been better. That's just me. Oh and even though neither invented the sharpshooter/deathlock, I am sick to death of seeing other guys use it and fuck it up. lol

  • I agree with you totally! A sharpshooter is only good when a Hart does it.

  • I just hate it when they always try n do the crawl to the ropes with it or when ppl don't sit on it. Bret did it the best but, he didn't invent the hold.

  • Yeah WCW really fucked this match up. I always wanted to see this match and it was horrid. The only thing that bothers me is Sting doesn't go as low as he used in the 80's and early 90's. This would have been a great match if WCW had better bookers during this period. It's too bad Bret retired because I would love to see this match done properly.

  • The best there ever is ... the best there ever was ... and the BEST there ever will be!

  • fail, undertaker is the best

  • brets used both his left and right leg

  • the biggest difference is the leg, Bret goes in first with left leg, Sting with right.

  • Bret rocks!

  • The way both Sting and Bret Hart do the move is different. Sting does it faster while Bret does it methodically and tight.

  • They're both still the best in the business.

  • lol the ref was hyped up wen he was counting but as soon as stings hand drops on 3 he acts like sum1 just hit him across the head.

  • what the hell is the referee doing?!

  • rofl i dont know maybe he passed out

  • best sharpshooter, never will it be profected again

  • That is the truth, CaseyE11.

  • many can try but none will be able to pull it off like that

  • Classic!
