What a great opening and I wish the Outlaws would still incorporate that opening before they go out on stage. Who ever thought that up used genius thinking.
@littlebighankI'm not personally involved, in fact I live in England. I do however try to keep up-to-date with whats going on. Especially the court case, cos I want the last recording they ever made OAO.
@evelskunny, "lol" ???? What is so funny? Hughie, Billy and Frank dying? Thats not funny to me! This current lineup is carrying on the legacy of these artists. HP & MY are guys that were integral in what this band was and is today. They're performing songs that they wrote and played with these men who died underappreciated. Long live The Outlaws! I still love the fallen soldiers and Florida's Guitar Army!!!!!!
Could someone please verify that HENRY PAUL sang lead on THERE GOES ANOTHER LOVE SONG? have always loved it and played BLACKHAWK records when i was a jock on Country Radio down here in San Antonio.
Well, chillichomper,I don't know where you get your info, but the man in the headband in the vintage clip from '77 IS the guitarist on your left(Hughie RIP). The man w/the red acoustic guitar,Henry Paul, IS an original member since '75,then came back and you can also see him in the "One Last Ride" video. Furthermore, the drummer seen in the drum highlight towards the end of this video and also in the last pic is Monte Yoho, another ORIGINAL member. As for Frank O'Keefe and Billy Jones, they died.
@latdownforce Actually, I was referring mostly to Hughie. For me he was the embodiment of the outlaws and I just didn't recognize him in a cowboy had with a cutoff denim vest. It just looks so strange. Henry paul hasn't changed much but ht is totally different.
They were one of my favorites back in the late '70s and early '80s
Of Course Thaey Were The Outlaws 2005 30th Anniversary Reunion Tour..Original Members Include Hughie Thomasson who wrote most of their material along with Henry Paul and Monte Yoho and Dave Dix who were all Original Members..Billy Jones and Frank Okeefe both died in 1995..Hughie Thomasson passed away one year ago on 9/9/07 He was the leader and driving force of this band..Henry Paul has stepped up to continue their legacy with Chris Anderson Billy Crain Randy Threet Jon Coleman & Monte Yoho

@littlebighank It's not funny to me that HP is ripping off Hughies' widow, and has misappropriated his website.
Where was he in the lean years?
lillie1951 1 year ago
@lillie1951 Why were they lean? I don't know anything about HT's widow nor is it any of my business. You sound personally involved, enjoy that.

To the best of my knowledge, "There Goes Another Love Song" was sung by Hughie.

@1999wharfrat the original version was absolutely Hughie on lead vocals. HP sings it now.
