the real problem here is that the judge decided cho was a head case and order him to treatment. since cho was deemed a head case he should have been ineligible to purchase a gun through a ffl dealer.
sure cho could have befriended someone and conducted a purchase by other means...he was such head case...i do not believe anyone would have purchased/sold a gun to him
he would have bought the gun from another person which you dont need a backround check so there doesnt matter, I sold my gun to another person with no check its fine
ignorant video.. cause guess what.. cho seung li was the messenger from GOD U DUMB FUCC WHO IS TELLING US THAT THIS IS THE START OF THE WAR.. That is true. The law was broken, but they are not talking about that very much here in Virginia. I am sorry my state failed us. I am sorry my state is not accepting responsibilty. I am angry that the anti-gunners are going after gun owners, and dealers. I believe the state is liable.
It seems the author of this video left out a little bit of information. They don't tell you that the reason cho was able to pass the background check is because of the "federal privacy laws" placed on all "mental health" records. This law prevented Law Enforcement from being informed of cho's mental state. Thereby keeping him from being identified as "NOT LEGAL" to purchace a gun.
i really dont get why he hated women, most guys i know, Including me, love women! He just makes us asians look bad. as if we dont look bad enough. Btw, I'm not korean, I'm Vietnamese. (dont say i'm a vietcong kuz my grandpa fought for south vietnam in the 70's

it is sad that the korean guy shoot alot of ppl and actually killed them...just because he killed ppl and hes korean doesnt mean that all koreans r bad. (im korean) JUST BECAUSE IM KOREAN, DOESNT MEAN THAT IM BAD, RIGHT? everybody's different and nobodys perfect.
Look @ stats relating gun ownership to domestic homicide & suicide. A gun in the home is more likely to do harm than good. If you have guns, they should be trigger locked, unloaded in a gun safe. How can people even argue with that! It just makes sense!
I dont have kids and I dont need a trigger lock. All I need is a noisy alarm and pistol. You marxist trash love to speak on about the dangers and cruelty of self defense while many times having a gated community and armed private security. Since having a gun is never good maybe you can convince the cops to disarm, wont armed cops be more likely to shoot the wrong people?
Forget that, I live in a nice neighborhood turning into a toilet bowl. You can refuse to arm yourself, I wont complain. "The special justice's order in late 2005 that directed Mr. Cho to seek outpatient treatment and declared him to be mentally ill and an imminent danger to himself fits the federal criteria and should have immediately disqualified him, said Richard J. Bonnie, chairman of the Supreme Court of Virginia's Commission on Mental Health Law Reform."
State official and several legal experts are saying this. read the article
how was the godamn gunshop owner supposed to know the kid had a history of strange behaviour? maybe he did it to get back at all the racist taunting from the whites in the so called "land of the free"
curtisdavid, that is what background checks are all about. There should be a system. How do shop owners know credit cards are valid? The Zon calls into a system. Background checks are a good idea and the federal law that made Cho inelligable to buy a gun is already on the books.
I think we agree that it is a good idea to stop all school taunting.
Yeah, but the thing is, a kid is going to buy a gun if he wants it, whether it is two pistols for 500$ each at a gun store or a sub machine gun for 1000$ from a drug dealer. All you do by making more and more laws is promote the black market.
He was going to kill somebody anyway,i mean there is knives and shit. Also he just could buy a gun from his local drug dealer..so your point fails.Zomg Owned.
ClockworkMage, Cho tried to buy the gun even though federal law prohibited him. IF the law was followed he wouldn't have those guns. And if there was a system to flag him for trying to buy them, he could be in a mental hospital now. This isn't complicated.
What the F*** do you do besides point out problems in the government and other people, why don't you actually talk about things and propose new ideas. UNSUBSCRIBE.
blu3cheez, the proposal is to enforce the laws already on the books. Why in God's name are you resentful? I am pointing out something MSM did a very poor job of reporting. What is your problem? This is a response from someone who thinks explosives were placed in the WTC? You are a very confused person.
I've watched every one of your videos in the past 3 months, and each has been some video under 1 minutes pointing out what someone else did wrong. It is annoying, pointless, and a waste of my time. I wasn't attacking the ideas behind what you said, but rather YOU.
Did I at least get it though to you what the 9/11 terrorists' motives were?
"The politicians really are at great fault for not squaring with the American people. We're being attacked for what we do in the Islamic world, not for who we are or what we believe in or how we live. And there's a huge burden of guilt to be laid at Mr. Bush, Mr. Clinton, both parties for simply lying to the American people." - Michael Scheuer CIA Bin Laden Unit Chief 1996-99
The school was a gun free zone. So much for your laws. Why don't nuts drop their guns at the school doors? Because laws never have and never will stop crazies. Guns stop crazies!!!! Armed persons stop crazies.
Flohoff, the law was not enforced, did you miss that point? It wasn't that the law "didn't work," IT WASN"T ENFORCED! If Virginia had abided by the law and if they had a system to flag the guy once he attempted to buy a gun, he could have ended up in a mental hospital.
its hard to enforce laws at a college because all the student hate the cops and if its not some racial thing then its ''police brutality'' maybe if all the liberal college students would shut up then there would have been armed security
i read that cho bought the guns at a gun show. Alot of dealers sell guns really cheap and bypass alot of paperwork and bs that you would normally get at purchasing from a gun store. Its also a chance to unload on their overstocked products.
I think its the gun laws that caused this problem once again. And I also couldn't believe the swift action of healing by are president on the death of 32 rich kids. Where was that when katrina hit?
Important to bare in mind when Virginia Tech had a no gun policy on campus. I agree with previous comments that the media are not looking at the causes and this is aiding the police state agenda.
"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable"
You're right. If the state would have just followed the law then this whole blow up on gun controll would not be an issue right now. The media is concentrating on issue of do we need gun control. Shameless, but they are just bringing it up to stir up controversy I think. The government would never be able to take people's guns away.
So True, The govt failed again and will do so again, but they will always blame our freedoms for their failure! As for the North American Union, the founders gave you the right to bear arms to protect america from enemies both foriegn and domestic!
I really don't understand the difference between canadians and americans. I mean things happen in Canada similar to this but never to this extent. What is it that allows these kind of things to happen in america but not canada?
This did happen in Canada. It occurred a few years back in Taber, Alberta.
80% of what Canadians watch on TV comes from the U.S., which I think impacts the mindset of impressionable young Canadians.
North America as a whole should re-examine what is considered "entertainment".
Western politics, economics, and culture are all center on the "individual", and the community suffers. Young people have a hell of a time "fitting in".
yankhadenuf, I think that was O'Reilly's spin. I thought the point that Virginia didn't abide by federal law was something that should be pointed out, I sensed that MSM wouldn't be quick to report it or make it clear. Notice the rewording of the NYT's headline (see link)
No it isn't ture. Alex Jones gets a lot of his "facts" wrong. He pulls this conspiracy BS with other things, with 9/11 and now with Cho's shootings. What doees he have to do to ruin his credibility in your eyes?
lol your a dumb peice of shit "representativepress" LOL.Why aren't you talking about North American Union? ITS THE BIGGEST TREASON EVER,AND THE BIGGEST THREAT BESIDES WAR WITH IRAN. Who voted for this? american people?senator?congress? Nope, it was secretly plan and they rarely show it on the NEWS. Its been around since 1991 NAFTA and it will be complet by 2010 then everyone will get national ID card.
TheS3xiness, are you in love with that fool Alex Jones? Otherwise, what is your excuse for your tantrum? You want me to make a video exposing him and make you really cry? Look, the guy is a clown. I can't believe you guys are so gullible, Jones pushes convoluted conspiracy after convoluted conspiracy. Seems a marketing ploy of his.
I don't think this is a gun issue. The issue is more why did this kid seek guns to take the lives of other people. The major american news networks seem to be missing the ball on this one too. Stop treating the effects and get to the cause. It's a society issue.
I agree, I haven't watched much, it is being milked for as much money as they can get off of it. They need to start talking about what it is that disturbed this fellow, what set him off, and how we can change that.
keithguh, I agree. We certenly want to prevent these thing. I think a good idea is to end school hazing. No good comes from students abusing others, and as we saw, some of the abused may be mental. The idea is how can we reduce the likelyhood that such a horrible thing will happen.
The key word is legally..A person like cho would find it very hard to find a gun illegally.A very strange person who had little friends.Firearms in the hands of an unstable person is deadly..Your lax firearms laws needs an overhaul..the right to bear arms and the right to life ,liberty and to be secure are now at odds.
The point I am making is that the firearms laws with respect to Cho's situation aren't lax, the problem is htat they wre not followed. I don't see MSM covering this point, that is why I made the video.
i think the same, gun ban is insane, and selling anyone guns is iinsane too, your record must be checked, still you have the unbelievers saying 'OH! he would have gotten it from somewhere else!' maybe not, maybe yes...
I think it is a good point to amke that Virginia dropped the ball. And what might have happened? I don't know. Is there supposed to be a record of when someone attmepts to buy a gun who is not allowed to? This could have flagged Cho and got him into mental facility perhaps.
Wow - they said on the news (I think it was MSNBC) that Cho was legally allowed to buy a handgun and that we needed to take a look at our gun laws - interesting.
i'd be thankful they were just handguns. wonder what would happen if he had nuclear weaponry.

Laws or no laws, he'd still be able to get guns. Marijuana and Cocaine are illegal, but we can still get them.

i think the same, gun ban is insane, and selling anyone guns is iinsane too, your record must be checked, still you have the unbelievers saying 'OH! he would have gotten it from somewhere else!' maybe not, maybe yes...
