  • your not even at the hardest the song can go in that game.

  • your not even at the hardest the song can go in that game.

  • From Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie

  • Fred told me not to skip the ad, but i did anyways XP

  • can you add your own songs to this game??

  • I love this song. x3 Next time try to master mode this song.

  • Nice job!! I just bought the game today for 49 bucks and played for 4 hours.I sucked but had fun.

  • So that's the guitar that comes with it? My friend has the game but not the guitar is that the guitar that comes with it???

  • @MrJman505 no you have to already own an electric guitar

  • @MrJman505 correction, you can buy it with a guitar but it costs around $200

  • @Bebothereaper96 ok. i already have a guitar, ive been playing for like 2 years. thanks man.

  • hey, do you have some problem with the 6th string? it's not really a big deal, I can prevent it but I'm just wondering if you have a little trouble with it.

  • @THEBULLANGUEROCK

What kind of problems are you referring to?

  • @BravoGangUS08 like if you press the right fret but the game tells you it's not and shows the arrow pointing to the "right fret"...? probably it's just me or my guitar (when played softly it's good)

  • @THEBULLANGUEROCK

Hmm I think it may be the guitar. Maybe it needs to be restrung or adjusted.

I know that my guitar at times would not register a note properly, and would tell me I'm on the wrong fret but other times would work. Then I took it to a Guitar place to get it serviced and after I got it back, everything worked flawlessly.

  • @THEBULLANGUEROCK

I have also come across an issue when my cousin tried to use HIS electric guitar. (He was playing for the 1st time so the game made him go through that long setup in the beginning.)

At the tuning screen, it wouldn't even detect the strums for certain strings even though his guitar was tuned beforehand with an electric tuner.

  • yes all the time. its fucking annoying. its always says im playing the wrong note. and when i play a note down it reads it right???

  • I'm all for people learning to play the guitar, its an amazing instrument and a wonderful hobby. I just hope that it doesn't loose it's.....exclusivity or....uniqueness and becomes overrated. Won't stop me from continuing to play it though :)

  • @BravoGangUS08 wanna trade guitars? :)

  • i just got this game today and its harder then it looks when u first start, but ill get better

  • i have the exact same kind of guitar. SWEET.

  • That guitar was definitely NOT in tune =p

  • Would you say this is a great tool to actually teach someone who's never picked up a guitar before?

  • @TEEN1DOL absolutely check out rocksmiths website they show beginner in a period of ten days knowing a whole song and wanting more

  • does anyone know if your guitar actually has to be in tune with the song to play it?

  • @MrGuitardeth well they check the tuning before u start so id imagine it would have to be in tune

  • @MrGuitardeth Yes, it needs to be in tune. The cable detects your sound, not where your fingers are.

  • @tehNach0 ok, thanks, i dont think i'll be bothering with this much then, i like to keep my guitars in drop b and c standard

  • Hey i have a question...I have my own electric guitars and if i want to buy this game, can i just buy the cord(s) and the game separately without having to buy their guitar?

  • @wolfspwn1

man~the best thing abt Rocksmith is u can just plug in any kind of electric guitar u hav, as long the guitar only has six strings. I own a Fender starcaster guitar and I just plug in and play the game! so basically u only need to purchase the game. the game comes with the special cable for plug in to ur guitar. If u notice there is a audio lag. just use the RCA (red and white) cables through the tv. by doing so will solve the problem. hope u enjoy as much as i do! :)

  • @wolfspwn1 Yes you can.

  • every one whos notes are too easy, PLAY RIFF REPEATER!!! it levels up the songs

  • I say that this is probably one of the easiest songs in the game. The only hard part is the end. I'm not really good with palm mute notes.

  • @guitarheromorello no Song 2 by Blur is the easiest...

  • Stevie Wonder!

  • Easiest mode? the right sound have a lot of more notes...

  • @TheNewOldNasty

This video was recorded the day I got the game. I am an amateur at guitar.

Also, there is no difficulty options. The game automatically sets the difficulty based on how well you can play. If you get better or are really good, it adds more notes. Once you are good enough, you are playing the whole guitar part

  • @BravoGangUS08 Keep on going man. You got the technique right for both hands.. That won't take much time to master..

  • This is pretty cool. Took me a bit to understand how the hell to read the notes, but looks like they did a good job in designing it. Need to get dedicated to playing guitar again, so I think a video game is just the ticket!

  • You actually can use chords and hammer on ect... cool thing is it adjusts to your playing level. The better you do in a song the more notes it adds for you to play, the worse you do the less notes it adds. Very fun game!

  • what a shame, i was hoping that this game would allow you to use chords, hammers, slides and others, not just notes. waste of money.

  • @ZazaCrunch

The game DOES have chords, hammer-ons, slides, and other things like bends, tremolos, palm muting, harmonics.

The reason why you don't see much of that in this video is because the game adjusts automatically to your skill level. If you aren't very good yet, it will give you less notes and have you do less guitar techniques. As you improve it automatically adds more notes and gets closer to the real thing as you are playing

  • @BravoGangUS08 that's a terrible way to learn to play guitar. it's basically training you by teaching you all the wrong parts. yea try plain that same shit without the game, it probably sounds terrible. and does it teach feel? i very much doubt.

  • @ZazaCrunch god dammit! ppl watches ONE single fucking video and it already judges by it, he's like level 1 or somethn. it does have EVREYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PLAYING THE GODDAMN GUITAR! has like 30 tutorial videos for each technique and EVREYSINGLE FUCKING CHORD!,

TRY THE GAME BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT PPL!

  • @ZazaCrunch shut up you fucking shitface dont talk about somehting dont know anyhting about little fucker idiots like this make me want to strangle someone with anger FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • @ZazaCrunch defiantly not a waste of money, it has chords hammer-ons pull-offs slides, tremolos, bends, palm muting harmonics, and it gets harder as you play until your playing the whole song and then you unlock master mode if you play the song maxed out which makes you play it without anything being on the screen. This game is a great way to learn guitar or get better

  • Can someone tell me how exactly you hook your guitar up to it? Because when it comes out in New Zealand I'm thinking of getting it :)

  • @MysteriousResponses

It comes with a special cable. One end goes into your guitar, the other goes into your console's USB Port

  • if you buy this is it ok if i dont include the guitar? coz i have a guitar already an electric guitar

  • @IzzyThe015

Yah that is fine, any electric guitar would work with the game

  • what do you think about somebody playing this game WHITOUT havning a real guitar in his hands??

  • Man I cannot wait for this to come out over here in England. Always wanted to learn to play guitar but could never afford the lessons plus I'm left handed. I wonder if they would ever bring one out for bass guitar

  • Hey would u happen to know if this game drains active pups batteries?

  • How do you get the split screen like that?

  • Nj

  • LOL, your guitar is in tune... best joke i've heard today

  • I'm going to be honest, I was very disappointed with the games set list. The only songs I enjoyed was Slither, the Eric Clampton song and I Miss You the rest sucked to me, it was more of pop kind of stuff instead of rock. But oh well that's my opinion I would take it to gamestop but their so cheap assed i wouldn't even get 10% of what I paid for it.

  • @CountryHumor that's why you get gamefly...

  • @DarthBond11 Bullshit...You're a fucking idiot.

  • @oween5 the game works itself according to your skill level so you'll always be playing the song just in different skill levels if that makes sence

  • SO how does this work... i sorta get how you read it but whats with the difficulties... this seems to easy to be the real way to play it...

  • Wow man cool vid but learn the whole song first!! 58 thousand people watched you play through half of the notes of this song your sections at the top indicate that you have reached what would be considered "MEDIUM" difficulty on this song, kudos on the number of views on your video but man, put some effort into it and MAX out every phrase and then make a vid of you ripping every single note in the song the way it is meant to be rocked!!

  • @NateZebraManDingoC

Well I put this video up the day the game came out just to show people some gameplay of it. Honestly that is probably the only reason it has a lot of views...the fact that it was one of the first gameplay videos of it on Youtube (with splitscreen showing me playing it)

  • Looks easy but kinda fun :P

  • Hopefully getting this for xmas, and I really wanna play guitar but it's kinda hard. This helps?

  • since your playing a gibson, id have to guess youve been playing guitar for sometime now

  • You need to alternate picking patterns. It's much easier if you can pick up and down and increases your stamina when playing.

  • The size of the dislike bar are the people that didn't know they needed a real guitar.

  • @OldSchoolGamer1000 well maybe what if theres 1 song somewhere i didnt see and maybe i just want to know, so shut the fuck up

  • yo, how do you record your ps3 screen like that? also what editing program did you use to have you playing as the background?

  • lol im i the only one who sits here with his guitar and plays along ith the song to learn it? lol i feel like a losrer but so funny.

  • @x0xmicha3lx0x Haha no I'm guilty as well it's cheaper then buying the game to learn them plus I don't really care to learn half of the songs.

  • @jtcardsfan haha hell ya!

  • hi how are you has it got online mode

  • this going to be like guitar hero theres going to be guitar then microphone then drums

  • I want to get this game so i can start getting 100% on everything lol

  • Cool video.

Is the audio lag as bad as I've been reading?

  • dude first: nice playing

second: ....how the heck do you know what fret to play in? i get the struming, just not the frets.....ive been thinking on getting it, what do you think is it worth it?

  • @MrChaud1

    Thanks

The way you know which fret to play is by looking at the numbers that are scrolling down (such as the 3 5 7 and 9 that are scrolling in this video)

I personally think it is worth it. This game really helps teach you how to play guitar. I didn't know how to play guitar but now after having this game, I know how to play a few songs

  • this game looks sick does it have the actual notes and teaches you how to play?

  • I always wanted to play this song. Would my Rock Band Squier work with this when I get the cable (1/4" jack to USB) with it? Thanks in advanced. BTW, nice playing dude!

  • @sephimour Yup, it should work since the Rock Band Squier is an actual electric guitar

  • id recommend getting used to struming up and down, it goes a long way in playing guitar, especially with those tremelo notes, it will feel 10 times less straining on your forearm

  • i'm bad on guitar hero, now this, FOCK YOU xbox

  • HOLY SHIT

  • Whats team Cena like John Cena?

  • Too many songs are locked out (like a game) and the free play is locked out too (has to be earned).Too bad for that. I was looking forward to just messing around in free play mode when first trying this program out. It too would be sweet if you could record what you play to a musical score, like some guitar program software does.

  • ive been playing for about 5 years and this game helped me learn songs just by playing it for one day at my buddies house it is weird getting used to but its so much fun and great for beginners, we all have to start somewhere, btw skyrim is the best game ever....

  • @darkangelglue500

It seems though, that the notes played are not really what's in the real song. It seems like some rhythm notes just to get the player used to plucking the guitar to the song. This game doesn't offer difficulty levels, it adapts to the person's abilities and gets "harder" as time goes on, if the person is hitting the proper notes it's telling the user to hit. How can you learn to play the song if the proper notes are not displayed?

  • @caradepau06 yeah well ive been playing for a while so the notes that it does leave out i can pick up on them and figure the rest of the song out myself, the game teaches you the main part of the song, but the artists like to play little extra notes to add to the song that the game does not include.

  • Now for a full band version (drums bass keyboard ect) and your all set

  • I just bought the game so i can learn, could it really teach me how to play guitar?

  • Ppl can't accept change its power gig all over again

  • @truekillings How is it Power Gig all over again? Power Gig didn't even teach you guitar. All it did was let you use the guitar to hit 5 notes like Guitar Hero.

This actually teaches you how to play.

  • @BravoGangUS08 because ppl r tripping\ that its something new and u cant learn from it and its a guitar hero rip off i have no problem with it i wanna pick it up my self but i have to wait

  • @BravoGangUS08 thank you!

  • Keep working on it, you're not even playing the whole song yet.

  • Andy McKee is talented,Hendrix was talented, does that mean that if they can't use their ear to figure out a song that means they're not talented?

  • @label0966 well, yes..

  • @Sigrestbrandon not trying to be a jerk, but maybe you souls stop being a pussy and stop using tabs. Use your ear. Oh wait, YOU'RE NOT TALENTED!!!!

  • Hey Listeen! THIS IN NOT A GAME! THIS IS A GUITAR SOFTWARE

  • and what if you just play a solo or a difertent thing? Will they say Booo!!Boo!Boo you suuuuuuck fucking puusssy !! like in Guitar Hero?

  • I don't like how people keep insulting this game off the video. THIS IS NOT GUITAR HERO. You don't just attempt to play and it goes ahead and plays the music anyways. You hear what you play. If you suck, you will hear it suck. It doesn't matter what your score is or that you can't "fail". If you learn a song on this game, you can take your guitar and plug it into an amp and play it

  • @OuTrIgHtChAoS Best-selling guitar music game ever!

  • How did you do the split screen? Really great video helped me to see I want this!

  • @glowzone

    Thanks!

I recorded the footage of me with my camera, and the gameplay footage with my Hauppauge HDPVR.

Then I put both into Adobe After Effects. The gameplay gets layed on top of the camera footage, then I just crop out the parts from the gameplay I want to have showing

  • @BravoGangUS08 Thanks for the info, bro. And BTW, ignore the haters. Middle school BS if you ask me. Your vid convinced me to buy this, and I learned something from you too. Keep it up :)

  • @BravoGangUS08 awesome job

  • learn to up stroke man

  • not trying to be a jerk...turn off the tv and the knockoff of guitar hero, plug in a real amp, pick up some tabs or sheet music, then you will truly be learning...

  • @sigrestbrandon not trying to be a jerk, but don't insult someone or this game if you've never played it. I can say from experience that this game is incredible for teaching you guitar. He's not playing the full song (he doesn't have full mastery). There's a mode called riff repeater where you play sections individually (as you would from tabs) and it levels you up when you play them right. I mastered 4 complete songs in a few hours from it (RHCP, Muse, QotSA, RapScallions)

  • @sigrestbrandon i did play, for like 10 minutes..disliked it, and said my point in a comment

  • guys this thing will make forget how to read a tab

  • @MatKiller1197

Actually, there's an option to invert the strings on the track. So the red string (Low E) will be on the bottom, so it's like reading a tab. Besides, if you forget how to read a tab Google is your friend.

  • how did you get it to play lead when i play that song i can only play bass and rythm on it

  • @TheZalakar i think this song has Single Note, Chords, and Combination. The one I chose was combination ...though I wasn't good enough yet for it to give me chords lol.

  • @BravoGangUS08 i'v picked single combo and combo2 and that gives me bass harder bass and rythm and i cant get it on lead for this song

  • i really hope there would be "fury of the storm" and, "through the fire and flames" by dragonforce then this game would be the awesomist game EVER

  • I thought the layout was going to be very confusing but when I bought it it was very easy. It teaches you everything including how to hold a pick.

  • Is this game easy to comprehend? it looks confusing sort of,lol.

  • @Joshwingingit64 Yah it is easy to understand especially when you are experiencing it in person

  • i wonder if you can do bass with it. my wife is wantin to learn

  • @AcousticSerenity No you can not do Bass on this game as of right now. However they plan to release DLC in the future which adds Playable Bass Tracks to the songs

  • Does it get harder than this? I hope it does.

  • @RealMuchaka It does....it depends on your level that you get to...or you can just practice the riff in a little thing called riff master....alllows you to play the actual thing

  • @RealMuchaka Yes it does. This was done on the 1st day of having the game so it was still far from the actual guitar part.

As you get better, the gameplay gets more difficult until finally you are playing the actual guitar part of the song.

  • this sucks so much. confusing shitty graphical layout. Also, very bad idea for a game. Nobody will ever learn to play the guitar on this game.

  • @kilipeti This is a music game asshole the graphics dont give a shit and i learned 2 whole songs thanks to this game so fucking shut up motherfucker

  • @METROIDROCKSXP98 congratulations. your parenting was a really good one.

  • @METROIDROCKSXP98 Normally, I would agree with such a statement. However, I can't help myself laughing at teh horribly made crowd.

  • this would be sweet if they had shred songs on this game Like gilbert malmsteen jason becker greg howe stuff like that would be sweet

  • Game should teach you how to hold the pick also in tutorials i think.

  • i really dont think i could play this game at all. The layout looks so confusing. But i really would like to play this game...

  • only guitar works?

  • @AlexJBassify For right now yes. However they plan to release DLC sometime in the Future that will add Bass to the songs

  • Team Cena?

  • @DancingDead02 Team Cena is a community team that was founded by David McClam ("CenasCorner" on Youtube)

  • im a begginer should i get it ?

  • @LeftHandedDude20

I personally think you should. It is a great teaching tool that is also fun.

PS: I am a beginner as well :D

  • @BravoGangUS08 holy crap! I thought you were an expert :O *runs to the game store

  • @upgrader99 Wow, Master of Puppets is all downpicks except for the few gallops in the bridge. Look up videos cause apparently you don't know Metallica.

  • are you able to change the order the strings appear on-screen so that the 1st e string (the thinnest) appears at the top? also, does this game have Uplay?

  • @DigitalPimpSlap Yes you can change the order. I don't know from experience but I saw someone's video on youtube have the strings in the other order.

    Not sure about Uplay though

  • how do you get this song cuz wikipedia neither the website has it in the list

  • @Connorslamevideos It's an on-disc song

I just checked Wikipedia as well, and it IS on the list there

  • @BravoGangUS08 well then i must be blind

  • is this the highest difficulty? I hope not

  • @chocotricks

nope, i like this song so i played it a lot, the game adjust the difficulty of the song on the fly, the first time you play is like just a note for every phrase, but the most notes you play right in a row the game will throw you more notes until you play the same exact thing as the guitar recording! is awesome , this song is harder on my gamesave

  • @chocotricks No it's not. However the game doesn't have difficulties like Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert. The game automatically gets more difficult as you get better. So the better you get, the closer to the real guitar part you get.

  • @BravoGangUS08 oh That sounds really cool, Ill diffidently probably pick this up after I get money or it drops like 20 bucks aha

  • @BravoGangUS08 does it have the lead version too, or just rhythm?

  • Learn how to alternate pick.

  • Very cool stuff. Pro tip - learn to strum up and down (alternate strumming). Once you get into the "all down" habit, its very difficult to break, and severely detriments your progress.

  • @upgrader99 some songs, especially with Metallica REQUIRE just down strokes to keep the proper count and UMPH when palm muting. Get off your high horse.

  • @metalbullitt troll... lol lol... lol lol lol lol lol lol!!! Please link us to a video where Kirk Hammet is only playing down-strokes. Please - waste your time attempting to.

  • @upgrader99 the guy in the video is playing RHYTHM , i wasnt referring to lead guitar smart ass. Disposable Heroes is one with all down stroke riffing off the top of my head. after the intro some galloping is required. There is a need for constant down stroke in some songs if you know ANYTHING about guitar and playing metal you'll agree and go on your merry way.

  • Rocksmith is a game changer...There I said it.

I expect the base update to be available soon in DLC..as they said.

I hope the DLC comes in several types for various interests.

Metal, Punk, Rock, Country and Classics

If and when GH comes out with their reboot...they will now have

to deal with the fact that Rocksmith has raised bar and anything less

    will do poorly.

  • I know how to play guitar.. And even with his playing it for 3 days I have learned 6 new scales and have improved all of my techniques! Rocksmith is the future of gaming in my opinion... Cant even wait for drumsmith. ;)

  • I'm looking forward to getting this game. To help me with my guitar skills.

  • Why would u buy this game if u already know how to play a guitar?

  • @gamemaster8814 Well, if you are referring to me then, i DON'T already know how to play a guitar. lol.

But anyway, this game would be fun even for someone who knows how to play. You can play along with the background music/vocals from the actual songs or you could just mess around with the numerous different amps and pedals they let you use in-game in the Amp Mode.

  • @gamemaster8814 dude i play guitar and trust me after buying this game ive gotten a million times more practice in than i normally do i played for about an hour a day if that now i play almost 3 to 4 hours a day now thats why we play rocksmith even if we already know how to play. does that answer ur question?

  • @gamemaster8814 i been playin for a good 5 years, nd idd get this game to see if its a good teaching tool, and like to try it out. also see how accurate and see what effects you can get. this is something new to gaming why not

  • makes me play ma guitar for hours instead of one

  • @kashifbilgrami Agreed. I've played a little for like 6 years, but I've never played 6 hours in one sitting until I got this game :D

  • Great job. Make sure to practice alternate picking.

  • Anybody know how you're supposed to get "Just Singing?"

I pluged in my mic and I tried to play a song,

but it didn't let me sing.

    Can someone help please!?!?

  • Game: congrats your guitar is in tune

    Me: yh, sure.....

  • lol great job at 3:35
