ok, pmdg has a brilliantly modelled functioning FMC, fsx doesnt, pmdg has a fully working EICAS system, fsx doesnt, in pmdg you can control fuel valves,electrical systems,hydraulic systems and apu systems fsx doesnt and then theres all the cool little animations in the pmdg VC that fsx doesnt, also pmdg has a virtual cabin whereas fsx doesnt

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, I've been hoping for a while that PMDG will update the EICAS to show RollsRoyce's EPR thrust settings; did they announce that they are planning on doing that? Also, on the IDENT page of the FMC, the only engine model that is ever displayed regardless of the aircraft (and consequently the engines) that you are operating is the CF6-80. It would certainly add some realism if PMDG altered the EICAS and FMC to incorporate the RB211s.

Interesting checklist. Spoilers down? Not for take off - spoilers should be "armed". This means they will deploy in event of the take off being rejected. Lights and strobes, including landing lights will be on for take off. Strobes will remain on throughout the flight, landing lights off above FL100. In BA on the 747-400 fleet I believe the speed check is made at 100knots and not 80.

thanks alot. the 747's great. the model that i'm using is a payware 744, made by PMDG, and sold for around 80 dollars canadian at precisionmanuals (dot) com . as for the cabin announcements, I found them on avsim's website by searching for british airways flight announcenemts (or somehting like that... i forget the exact file name). they really make the flight more genuine.

I downloaded the flight attendant announcements off of avsim (dot) com and surclaro (dot) com. if you search for topics such as cabin announcements, flight attendant annoucemnets, etc, you'll find some pretty good sound clips up on those websites. thanks for the comment and subscription!
