  • I want to use 2 ATI Radeon HD 5770 with a GeForce 9600 GT will it work? If yes, which power supply should I buy?

  • @SVDobbin

No. Hybrid PhysX is now pointless.

  • I have HD 6470M whict for nvidia video card physx i need to use? please help me

  • will it work with a HD 6870 and a GeForce GT 430?

  • that was some bad camera work dude... but thx for the insight anyway :)

  • I'm just going to let yall know that if you use ANY NVIDIA CARD slower than a 260 (pretty much everything that came before, besides the 9800GX2) it will actually make your games run slower. There is a massive bottel neck between the graphics card. Any 48xx, 57-58xx, or 67, 68, 69xx Radeon card should receive this bottle neck.

  • if i have a 4850 and 7600gt it wont work will it

  • @sadeep99 dont think the 7600gt has physx capabilities so u figure

  • thanks for the vid man!! but worst camera work

  • i have a gefroce 615ose god damn i dont think il ever by a game again fk you nvidia

  • work the ati radeon hd 6950 (bios 6970) with a nvidia geforce 8800 gtx ?

  • @SlowmotioN1337 yeah

  • Won't the XFX GeForce 9400GT 550M 512MB PhysX CUDA work as PhysX card?

I have it, and around a year ago i tested it with the radeon 5770, and I think it work'd, but I'm not sure?

  • What's the best card for Physx? Thinking of combining with my soon to come 560 ti

  • I have bought one hd 6870 and i can use physx! Previusly i had a nvidia 9800gt and i dind delete physx drivers! So i am using physx and games play smothy!

  • Can i use 2 hd 6870 and one 9800gt?

  • @TheXtremeGamer90 if you have 3 pcie slots

  • I think I've made a huuuuge mistake.

I thought I could use two hd5870 in crossfireX (matrix platinum and eyefinity 6 from asus) and buy a GTX460 and it would work... now I spent money on a Nvidia Card and I will never use it because 195.xxx drivers don't work with it and nvidia disabled physX when a ati card is in the sistem... -.-'

Is there anyone that made a patch or a driver that can allow my stupid gtx460 woking as physX card and my crossfired 5870 as primay?

  • Nice compu-ah.

  • ATI HD 5850 works with nVidia GTX 260?

  • Before I start this. Will the tutorial in this and part 2 vid still work today??

  • Will this work eiht a HD6870 and a Geforce 8400gs?

  • will this work with crossfire enabled? also will it work with the GT 240

  • what kind of motherboard do you have ?

  • is it work on:

    ati 5770 crossfire

    GF gt 220?

    please help

  • 0:35 to skip intro

  • i have a 4850 pcie on a msi 785gt e62 can i have a 9400 or 9500gt pci edition as a dedicated physics card?

  • @knightofhell7890 the 9500 yes, the 9400 no. You need a minimum of 32 stream processors.

  • Comment removed

  • i got a 6870 to does this work with a 8600 GT or do u think i should buy a 460 or another 6870? cuz i want the PHYSX. but a GTX 460 is a powerful Card right so i can max the most things out? :P

  • it doesnt work for gays

  • @JOCKATEO how is that relevant?

  • I just got a HD 6870 will this work with the 9800GT?

  • @kokuto1024

    Yes it will.

  • @Containforum will 9600gt work with 4870x2?

  • @kokuto1024 OMG I HAVE EXACT SAME, got xps 630i and just got 6870 for christmas and still want to get PhysX and CUDA off my 9800gt

  • yep, doesn't work sorry. When I put in the Nvidia card it doesn't work, its not detected by the device manager. I have to unplugg the ATI card, and then the Nvidia card works. When the Nvidia card works, the ATI one is not detected by the device manager. I have to unplugg the Nvidia one to get it to work again. When both are plugged in, neither one works, or only one works. do you know whats happening here?

  • @Cpillin425

    You're not using WIndows 7.

  • @Containforum Windows 7 professional 32 bit, AMD phenom II 965 @3.6hgz, ATI HD5770 1gb, 4gb ddr3 1600 gskill ripjaws gaming series OC @ 1720 ghz, ASUS m489gtd pro extreme edition...but check this, its all running on a 460 watt power supply?

  • @Cpillin425

The PSU should be fine unless you are using an old or cheap one. It could also be your motherboard. I suggest trying on a different machine.

  • @Containforum yeah you are right, it is a cheap one, have you ever heard of the brand "Soly Tech", No? I didn't think so either. Also my motherboard has one of those "switch cards" which goes in slot 1 and my primary video card goes in slot 2 so it reaches x16 speed instead of x8, you know what I mean. anyway thanks for the help, I'll keep researching = )

  • @Cpillin425

    That's probably the reason then.

  • Now lets say that a game did no have PhysX would the 2nd Gpu still do the physics

  • @JCkido0o

    No, the CPU does it.

  • why do you have a ati and a nv? whats the boost or how do you use them i think you use ati for his speed and nv for the pshyx? right?

  • @Xextreem

    That's right.

  • Same case ftw!

  • lol, your intro and music makes me feel strangely happy, thanks :D

  • @EZbakeROFLcakes It makes me horny XD

    Joking.

  • spanish plz ... i want use ati 4870 render and 8800gt for physx help ... on spanish or subtitle plz

  • @froitzent

    I don't speak Spanish.

  • @Containforum you could type what you say into google translator and copy it in the you tube video thing for foreign people, i have seen it in none English videos

  • @Containforum hi there i wanna ask you how to plug an gtx 480 and ati 5830

what do i need to do it!

    plz tell thx peace

  • @kensuu1995

Why would you want to use a GTX 480 for PhysX when the GTX 480 is already more powerful than the 5830?

  • @cptnck

Yes, ofcourse. PCI Express is PCI Express.

  • since the geforce is only used for doing the physx and nothing else can you get basically the same results out of a lower end nvidia card as you would a higher end one?

  • @saikouninja

No, a higher end would give you more performance.

  • @Containforum That's not true.

  • @Shadowpriestrox

It most certainly is. Especially since I've tested PhysX running with different cards. The higher end gives better performance.

  • thx anyways better i buy new desktop with gtx 480

  • Radeon 5870 mobility+PhysX do you know how i setup for windows 7 plz help me :(

  • @belagiorgo

You cannot. If you used any sense at all you would realise I have 1X ATI 5870 and 1X Nvidia 8800GTS. You need an Nvidia card to do the PhysX while ATI does graphics. Why do people comment without watching the video?

  • One question...

Do i need a mother board with both PCI slots in 16x?? Can it be for exemple a moderboard CrossFire Ready but with 1 slot beeing PCI-E 16X and the other beeing PCI-E 4x for the Nvidia???

  • @caxcabr

You can use any PCIE speed slot as long as the card fits.

    Remember to subscribe.

  • @Stend4ever

Yes, you need to turn it on in both the Nvidia drivers and the software yu are using which has PhysX support.

    Please subscribe.

  • BUt do u get the SLi or crossfire performance. I mean are u able to run both cards simultaneously in games to their full graphics capacity? or is the Geforce used only for physx calculations.

  • @devilsonlychild

Only PhysX. If you want them to run like SLI/crossfire scaling you need a motherboard with a Lucid Hydra chip. But with that PhysX won't work.

  • i would like to know, is it possible to use my (old) gtx 285 as a dedicated physX, and then use the gtx480 for rendering and dx11 ect?

  • @lxlANDlxl

Yes, of course. That is natively supported so no modding or patching of drivers is needed. Just go ahead and install both into your system together. Nvidias drivers should allow you to set the 285 to dedicated PhysX.

  • @Containforum thanks for the info! great for when building a new rig ;)

  • i have an EVGA 750i FTW mobo, will this setup work considerin im using an nf200 chip?

  • @TIMBOKIP

If you have 2 PCI E or more slots it will work. If I havn't mentioned anything about chipsets then it does not matter. I will only mention the things which are need/ have an effect on hybrid setups.

  • Hi do you have to use the second slot or can you miss one and use the third?

  • @johnie464646

You can use the third if you like.

  • this is for windowsseven or vista my is seven 32

  • @TheGiannispanatha13

Windows 7. My other videos explain verything check them all out. And remember to read the video descriptions, as things do change after I make videos. Those are updated in the descriptions.

  • Probably the first video this guy has ever created. No information, just a look into his machine... sorry, but worthless watching...

  • Hey I was wondering if you could put the ati card on pci express slot 1 2.0 x16 and if you could put either an Igea or PCI card on the PCI slot? Cause I dont have 2 PCI express slots just 1 But I have PCI slots.

  • @Edsan91

New cards do not use PCI they use PCI E.

  • tnks man it worked ^^

  • What is this, a JJ Abrahams or Michael Bay movie? Rules to follow when making an instructional video:

    1. No shaky cam. Use a tripod, or have someone else film what you are doing.

    2. Music is fine for intros and outros, but why have background music competing against the person trying to talk to the viewer?

I appriciate the effort to make a helpful video, but this is painful to watch.

  • is was going to get Radeon 4890 is it as god working with intel as amd cause i have a q6600 quad core

  • Yes. You should get a 5830 instead. Or a 5770.

  • What processor you use have nothing to say as long as you don't run two cards in SLi or CorssfireX because with the different 1156 socket CPU's you are limited to 8x and 8x PCI speed vs. 16x and 16x which 1336 socket CPU's and AMD CPU's have.

  • I ause Phenom II X4 955.

  • Got another Question since I looked at the 8400 and 9400gt Physics benchmarks,(not good) Does a Ageia Physx PCI Accelerator Video Card ,Show up a Nvidia card (so you can install Nvidia drivers)...?...

  • @mrjamesb56

I don't know about the Ageia PhyysX card. What I do know is that you install PhysX drivers only for it, not the full Nvidia driver.

Apart from that I can't help you with it.

  • Hey Mr.Containforum , I got a Question ,Can you do/hack Physics with an ATI card (my case an Ati 4890) and a PCI Nvidia or Ageia Physics card? ... Please let me know,thanks..

  • @mrjamesb56 I'm Thinking of using a 8400gs PCI card with my ati 4890,is that all right? (I only have 1 PCI-e slot)....

  • @mrjamesb56

I'm not sure about the PCI version. Check to make sure that card supports PhysX.

  • @mrjamesb56 an 8400 would make a completely useless dedicated PhysX card. Use a 9600GT or better, otherwise i wouldn't bother.

  • @mrjamesb56

    Yes you can.

  • Gay music, and why'd it last for 45 seconds in the beginning and through the video. terrible

  • man i will buy a ati 5770 but in the game battlefield: bad company 2 have alot of physx when you break an building, and now i have the shity card xfx 8600 gt 1gb ddr2, i can use that in this motherboard (p5k premium) for physx. because my motherboard have 2 pciex of 1.0 on 16x and other x4

  • @Feloflow

    Yes you can use it.

  • @Feloflow Bad Company 2 doesn't use "Physx".

  • When I have HD 5770, then I can put my crappy Nvidia 7950 GT next to it? And I would have no downclock on 5770?

  • @kaason2

7950 doesn't support PhysX. Only 8 series and up.

  • what card do you recommend for HD5850Crossfire

  • If you wantt o crossfire a 5850 then get another 5850.

  • 5850, or you could get a 5870, but it will downclock to 5850 speeds.

  • do you recommend doing this with 2 5870s and 9800gt with a 850w psu?

  • Yes. But I would go for a litte higher since your going to have 3 cards in one PC. But 850 should work fine.

  • @Containforum will it make a difference with frames or quality if u got a gtx295 instead of 8800?

  • Not with quality, but with the FPS. GTX295 will get you a significant more amount of frames per second.

  • @Containforum but does 295 have phyxs? and can you run this setup with anygame with no probs and will it affect ati's programes or work perfectly together?

  • GTX 295 has PhysX, and I can run it with anygame without problems. It does not affect ATI's programs.

  • a 36 second intro....? For fuck sake man

  • Skip it....
