I'm just going to let yall know that if you use ANY NVIDIA CARD slower than a 260 (pretty much everything that came before, besides the 9800GX2) it will actually make your games run slower. There is a massive bottel neck between the graphics card. Any 48xx, 57-58xx, or 67, 68, 69xx Radeon card should receive this bottle neck.
I have bought one hd 6870 and i can use physx! Previusly i had a nvidia 9800gt and i dind delete physx drivers! So i am using physx and games play smothy!
I thought I could use two hd5870 in crossfireX (matrix platinum and eyefinity 6 from asus) and buy a GTX460 and it would work... now I spent money on a Nvidia Card and I will never use it because 195.xxx drivers don't work with it and nvidia disabled physX when a ati card is in the sistem... -.-'
Is there anyone that made a patch or a driver that can allow my stupid gtx460 woking as physX card and my crossfired 5870 as primay?
i got a 6870 to does this work with a 8600 GT or do u think i should buy a 460 or another 6870? cuz i want the PHYSX. but a GTX 460 is a powerful Card right so i can max the most things out? :P

yep, doesn't work sorry. When I put in the Nvidia card it doesn't work, its not detected by the device manager. I have to unplugg the ATI card, and then the Nvidia card works. When the Nvidia card works, the ATI one is not detected by the device manager. I have to unplugg the Nvidia one to get it to work again. When both are plugged in, neither one works, or only one works. do you know whats happening here?
@Containforum Windows 7 professional 32 bit, AMD phenom II 965 @3.6hgz, ATI HD5770 1gb, 4gb ddr3 1600 gskill ripjaws gaming series OC @ 1720 ghz, ASUS m489gtd pro extreme edition...but check this, its all running on a 460 watt power supply?
@Containforum yeah you are right, it is a cheap one, have you ever heard of the brand "Soly Tech", No? I didn't think so either. Also my motherboard has one of those "switch cards" which goes in slot 1 and my primary video card goes in slot 2 so it reaches x16 speed instead of x8, you know what I mean. anyway thanks for the help, I'll keep researching = )
@Containforum you could type what you say into google translator and copy it in the you tube video thing for foreign people, i have seen it in none English videos
since the geforce is only used for doing the physx and nothing else can you get basically the same results out of a lower end nvidia card as you would a higher end one?
You cannot. If you used any sense at all you would realise I have 1X ATI 5870 and 1X Nvidia 8800GTS. You need an Nvidia card to do the PhysX while ATI does graphics. Why do people comment without watching the video?
Do i need a mother board with both PCI slots in 16x?? Can it be for exemple a moderboard CrossFire Ready but with 1 slot beeing PCI-E 16X and the other beeing PCI-E 4x for the Nvidia???
BUt do u get the SLi or crossfire performance. I mean are u able to run both cards simultaneously in games to their full graphics capacity? or is the Geforce used only for physx calculations.
Yes, of course. That is natively supported so no modding or patching of drivers is needed. Just go ahead and install both into your system together. Nvidias drivers should allow you to set the 285 to dedicated PhysX.
If you have 2 PCI E or more slots it will work. If I havn't mentioned anything about chipsets then it does not matter. I will only mention the things which are need/ have an effect on hybrid setups.
Windows 7. My other videos explain verything check them all out. And remember to read the video descriptions, as things do change after I make videos. Those are updated in the descriptions.
Hey I was wondering if you could put the ati card on pci express slot 1 2.0 x16 and if you could put either an Igea or PCI card on the PCI slot? Cause I dont have 2 PCI express slots just 1 But I have PCI slots.
What processor you use have nothing to say as long as you don't run two cards in SLi or CorssfireX because with the different 1156 socket CPU's you are limited to 8x and 8x PCI speed vs. 16x and 16x which 1336 socket CPU's and AMD CPU's have.

What is this, a JJ Abrahams or Michael Bay movie? Rules to follow when making an instructional video:
1. No shaky cam. Use a tripod, or have someone else film what you are doing.
2. Music is fine for intros and outros, but why have background music competing against the person trying to talk to the viewer?
I appriciate the effort to make a helpful video, but this is painful to watch.
