True vampires (throughout history) are of the like of Nosferatu. Evil, ugly and stinking. Dead corpses risen to haunt, disturb, and sometimes kill family members. Blood was not even implied at first.

Anne Rices books would have made the best vampire movies ever if they were put into the hands of decent directors.The movie would have been good as a stand alone (not one of Rice's books) but since they took pieces from Rice the really fucked it up.

having not read the book, and having a neutral view on the movie. I was faded, when i seen i think, it was craziness, specially the end at the concert. Johnathon Davis was hella excited two year b4 the film hit theaters. Korn did a lot of the tracks.  Its crazy how it all went down. Im think sometimes the world needs to be bigger. More different. like flying cars and robots like that movie surrogates. ahaha.

The film was badly done; very 'teeny goth' image it was trying to portray. Plus I think Lestat in this film was quite appauling. This film is no match against Interview With The Vampire; a personal favourite of mine.

Having said all this, I quite like the soundtrack personally.

The only point of the film was so Townsend could parade around the stage in leather pants, allowing all the teeny bopper hot topic goth kids a chance to glimpse his ass.

The sound track was its only saving grace.

I like a range of different metal bands, such as Machine Head, Fear Factory, In Flames, Pantera, etc. This is not 'goth' for people that believe it so, if you want 'goth' music then take a look at some of the bands around in the 80's like Killing Joke & Sisters of Mercy. More modern goth bands such as Type O Negative, Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation. On the other end of the scale look at industrial, although it is an 'aquired taste'; artists like Wumpscut, Nachtmahr, Die Sektor...

The movie doesn't even follow the storyline. Also, it saddened me that it was so obvious the movie had a B movie budget. I was expecting much better considering how well "Interview With A Vampire" did in theaters. 1st of all it was produced and sung by both korn and disturbed, and this movie was based on anne rice's books and yes it was a good movie but they had really messed up the books they could've done a lot better, interview with a vampire was better, it followed the book a lot better
