En estos dias lei sobre el maestro Chavez en unos ensayos de Carpentier y hoy he estado apreciando dos de sus obras el Tambuco y la Sinfonia India, grande el maestro Chavez, saludos desde Colombia
No se pero.....creo que con este director la Orquesta Filarmonica suena mejor. Carlos Chavez casi no se escucha en esta Orquesta. Pero Polkas y jesusita en chihuahua si...! Lo escuche en varios conciertos fuera del Teatro Juan Ruiz. En fin.....saludos....
I played this piece as part of the percussion section. I remember having all my instruments around me because we had to do so many different parts. It was difficult but so rewarding. An amazing piece of music. :)
By the way, my favorite may be teh theme that starts at 2:26 for sure beauty, even if percussion isn't playing at that point.

i remember hearing this on the radio a while back, i wanted to transpose it so i could play it in my high school band. that would have been awesome!
