Great point, very good question, and one that I struggled with for a long time. The feeling is one of straightening the right arm while maintaining the hinge in your wrist. The Golfing Machine calls it the "Magic of the Right arm," very similar to an archer pulling an arrow out of a quiver. The arrow must come out without changing the angle of your wrist. Try this mimic that archer pulling his arrow out, and than mimic that same movement in a golf downswing.
confused about your advice on right arm/elbow. i thought the point was to hold the angle. not pull down, essentially straightening. doesn't this advice conflict with ernie els' advice on keeping the "box" in place. youtube.com/watch?v=7dB92puVNHo
Outstanding video from beginning to end. I watched several of your videos from your web site and they are solid and have a fantastic mechanical approach. I'm a 4th year player (got a very late start) and wish somebody had stressed the importance of getting my swing arc to bottom out in front of the ball from day one. I spent 3 years hitting it fat and now have to work very hard to un-groove those mechanics. Thanks again!
