    Scoop Is Wontkins

  • Poor Skip

  • RIP Skip

  • Skip's Voice Changes From Normal To Kermit's Voice

  • You can be a veggie and do meat commercials. Gota pay the bills after all

  • Jim Henson dancing with hot ladies :D

  • @ZackAttack7492 Jim's Wife Would Be SOOO Jealous If She Sees This!!!!!!

  • Boy, makes me wish Jim Henson would cross Don Draper's path on "Mad Men." Incredibly cool seeing the Muppet folks being a wee bit subversive in tone while still wearing the appropriate work attire of oxfords and ties.

  • @metatmag Seriously! Don Draper should definitely meet Jim, they are such polar opposites.

  • Where did you get this footage? It's AWESOME!!

  • 4:55 LOL I just love how The Muppets were so Irreverent in their Humor back then. LOL :) Though this scene has been cut and censored in a lot of the copies of the film. It's very rare to find this uncensored version.

  • @MuppetPro MMM HMM

  • Wow, things were so simple . I wished we could get back to 1/2 of that. We should really try to entertain our children with simply things it worked for the masses years ago so why not now??? What we feed them should be this wholesome. I guess Im still a dreamer.

  • .........please don't O_o i don't want that -_-'' Grey's anatomy would be gone & mommy & I would be bored -_-

  • Boy, Frank Oz can sure cut a rug!

  • 4:22 *whispers* I see dead Muppets...

  • 5:27

"Wilson's franks give you TERRIBLE gas."

  • 2:55 looks good, I wish i was there lol.

  • 4;55 OWNED!!!!

  • Jim Henson's Muppets make this vegetarian smile. :)

  • Go figure, in the 60's you could get shot for being vegetarian :)

  • Interesting how some of these early Henson films have both B&W and color segments.

  • Notice how the color segments are the revenue-generating commercials and the added stuff is what is in black and white.

  • Can i find this available any where?

  • It's amazing all the innovations Jim gave to this art. I remember the Jim Henson hour introducing me to my first CG character, Waldo.. and that was 89'!. If he were alive today i bet he would still be wowing us with a brilliant marriage of CG and puppetry.

  • agreed! Well said!

  • If he were alive today, Sesame Street wouldn't be such a piece of shit.

  • This video is quite fantastic. Scoop and Skip remind me of Bert and Ernie

  • "Completely brilliant" is a complete UNDERSTATEMENT!

  • Jim's 2 Daughters in this commercial were his 2 oldest children. Lisa and Cheryl Henson. Lisa's birth name is Elizabeth Henson, after Jim's Mother- May she always rest in peace in heaven.

  • muppets, shooting eachother in the head. I want to watch this video for ever. OOOOOOOO, there's a sequel....

  • Pause at 4:55. HAHAHHAHA

  • Jim Henson was a vegitarian? Wow that's interesting. Seems to be very much in the Fraggle Rock type theme though. Yeah I thought the shooting was abit out of character for him.

  • Muppet King Jim Henson was A True Genius! He was an original! May he always rest in peace in eternal life in heaven!

  • Wow they all look so young. As a puppeteer that was very interesting to me, but as a

vegetarian I was quite offended. I didn't think Jim Henson's work was so violent either. I'm not

sure if he wrote the material.

  • As far as I know, Jim Henson was a vegetarian as well (this seems to have been before that lifestyle change).

Also, cartoonish violence has always been a big part of the Muppet sensibilty. Though, I will admit to being a little shocked the first time I saw this. In hysterics, but shocked.

  • I think Jim Henson may have had mixed feelings about it too ... at the beginning of The Muppet Movie, Robin asks Kermit if this is how the muppets really got started, and the villain in that is the owner of a series of Frog-Legs restaurants who wants Kermit to advertise for him. Perhaps there was a bit more autobiography in that than initially meets the eye ....

  • Sweet! Jim did the voices for both puppets, didn't he?

I couldn't believe one shot the other in the head! Wild. :D

  • Thank you so much for posting these Wilson's meat campaign spoofs by Jim Henson. My dad is one of the ad executives in both the videos you posted--he's the one who takes off his jacket and pushes Henson down on the table to beat him up. This is such a joy to see. Thanks again.

  • LMAO Omg that was hilarious and adorable!

  • reminds me of the Wilkins Coffee reel:)

  • Do you notice the fame of the Muppets outlived every single one of those shows that featured them?

  • Wonderfully entertaining evidence of Jim Henson's genius.

  • That is fantastic

  • Ah, the classic Henson wit that would later become famous all over the world.

  • That is one of the funniest clips I've ever seen, thank you so much posting it! Man, did that look like a cool party or what? :-)

  • Yeah, I would've liked to work with Henson & Co!
