The important message here is western countries need to work together to end extreme poverty. If Haiti had the kind of national support and regulation there would have been much less destruction. That is the tragedy--it is happenning without a warning and literally in a split of the seconds. There was horrible earthqauke in a city Spitak in Armenia. Earth opened and engulfed the entire city. It is uncomprhensible tragedy.  When you hear about sex offenders and other crimes, it makes me feel worse.
