Sorry "alex hit notes I didn't know existed' is a dumb comment. You obviously don't watch X Factor a lot because you would know of Leona Lewis. Leona hits a way bigger range and notes than Alex. Don't get me wrong I love Alex but Leona and Alex just don't compare with each other. Leona wins anytime.

@TheMariahResource Sorry, but Leona's range is not that much bigger than Alex's. We're talking like a 4-5 note difference at the most. I think the reason people are so amazed with Alex's voice is because she's a contralto (like Mariah) who can belt powerful notes above E5 and sing falsetto without formal vocal training. Leona's your standard mezzo sorprano who took years of vocal training to hit those falsetto notes, and she's still two whole octaves below Mariah's range. Alex wins in my eyes.

@TheMariahResource First of all, Leona does not have 3.7 octaves. That's Beyonce's range. Secondly, I never said anyone compares Alex to Mariah (although she has been on X Factor). I said that they're both contraltos who can belt over E5 which is rare, especially for someone who's had no type of vocal training, unlike Leona who sounds thin and whiny when she belts over Eb5. It's not always about who has the bigger range. Leona is boring and unoriginal with no sense of artistry. Alex still wins.

Alex may be a contralto like Mariah but in reality that means nothing. I mean I think it's a big deal if Leona can reach above her in notes. You should search for videos of Leona in early life. She sang very well before she even had training. Alex obviously had training as well. Hell so did MC he mother sings opera lol. All 3 are great

Not that it is happening on this page a lot, but I've noticed on a lot of both of their videos that there is TONS of banter about whether Leona or Alexandra is better. Why can't people just be greatful that this show and the UK has found to FANTASTIC artists? They are both brilliantly talented in their own ways. On top of that, they have both had awesome careers compared to other people who have won the show. That says something in itself. Point is both of them are AWESOME.

@DanylEl Leonas second album went double platinum. She hasn't been on the circuit as she has not long finished a HUGE tour, in which she did a hell of a lot more than just "stand in the middle of the stage" and she's now recording her third album, which will probably do just as well as the others before it. Alexandra IS talented, and absolutly incredible, but they're completely different artists. In leonas second album, she has quite a few up tempo songs, and she performed them well on her tour!

@androobarnes Yes we see her new performances and songs; Bad Boys, The Silence, Broken Heels etc. She has really grown as an artist and it is due to her tremendous drive to succeed, her natural singing and dancing abilities, and the help of the X Factor voice coach Yvie Burnett and the Creative Arts director and choreographer.

I can't wait till she tours America, I really hope she comes to Dallas.
