it takes a special kind of someone to ride bulls. but once its in their blood. Its what they live for. It takes more guts to be a bullrider than it does any other sport out there. So if you don't know what its like for these guys then you should be quiet and not heard.

I was there the night this happened... The whole place said a prayer for him after he was carried out. They actually had to stop the bull ride because either the guy before him or the guy after him had to get taken to the hospital too... so we had to wait for another ambulance just in case another cowboy got hurt

Just seen this accident on TV over here in the UK. How is McKennon? Even from the limited coverage we have over here its obvious the bulls are well looked after - love the way there are injury reports on the bulls as well as riders. Is riding bulls a foolish thing to do? probably - its very dangerous. Does that make the riders idiots? Hell no - they are brave and obviously work hard at their skills and fitness. Maximum respect to anyone doing this at any level.

I have been a meat cutter for 30 years and have cut up more cattle and ground more bulls into hamburger than the sands on a beech. I still respect the bulls just as much as the rides. They r both athletes in the sport. If it wasn't for the bulls their would be no sport

i hope this man is ok, im praying for him, i record rodeos here in mexico and everytime someone rides a bull i get real nervous casue our rodeos are different here, the riders here dont use protectors and they dont go for the 8 seconds they keep riding the bull untill the bull gets tired and other things most of them die cause of lack of protection it seems crazy when people say bad things about cowboys i think they are real true athletes.

I was there watching it live and McKennon was directly under where I was sitting. He is one of my favorite cowboys ... a true cowboy. He always signs autographs and loves his fans! I have a picture of him with my girls making rabbit ears. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family and we miss him every time we go to an event and he is not there! I hope he is well enough to be behind the chute at Vegas in October! I will be looking for him. His smile is amazing! Get well McKennon

Just like a NASCAR driver running into a wall at 200 mph. I still admire these guys. They're the best in the business, and it's what they love to do. I ran into this guy at Whataburger tonight. He just got off whatever jaw brace they had on him and he can't open his mouth very wide at all when he talks. He was a real nice guy. I hope he recovers and gets back after it soon, even though he said it probably wouldn't be for another year or so before he contemplates being able to ride again.
