l'm in the UK and discovered The Andy Griffith Show, thanks to DVD. l enjoy it so much, it's a real classic. l only wish some channel here would air it, so that others might stumble across this great family comedy.
LarryD - I wouldn't take it to heart ...these wonderful archive interviews are a treasure - but try and remember that most folks that come to youtube want "instant fix" "quick gratification" laughs, etc. (or sometimes information on how to do something) ...so I bet you'll find more hits on Don's actual clips as opposed to these in-depth interviews. For myself, the interviews are perfect - I put them on and listen while doing other work on my pc... but most don't have the patience. A shame.
what were Barneys philosophys? who is doing this interview? yikes. Dispite the lousy interviewer its great to listen to Don Knotts.

I think that Woody Allen modeled his "nervous" characters from Don Knott's inspiration.

I can't believe this has less than 6,000 hits. Knotts is a true pioneer of radio and television..... an absolute joy.

And humble. He's a pleasure to watch; there's no inflated ego there at all.
