His PE was same as Abbott, who gave a near perfect performance. What kind of travesty is that? A skater crashing onto the wall is like a dancer falling off the stage. He shouldn't have been qualified to FS.
i dont know why people hate him so much. i agree that he was a bit overscored for his jumps but dont hate him for the high score - blame it on the judges at least? no skater deserves to be hated for this reason...
Да, подвели Чана его раскосые глазки, чуть бортик не завалил))) А у судей, видно, та же проблема, судя по оценкам, которые этому олигофрену поставили!
It's also a bit ignorant to say it was a perfect performance deserving of what it got when the skater crashed on to the boards and then fell, afterwards, he stepped out of a 3 Axel. All of this in the short program, where the slightest mistakes has cost many a world and an olympic gold medal. You may like Chan all you want, but you cannot deny that this performance is quite memorable, and not for the best reasons!!!
The score out of context seems high, but if you watch the other skaters, everyone was over-scored and no one skated cleanly. Go watch the surprised look on Jeremy Abbott's face when his scores came up and he got an 83 for a no-quad program with a step out.
86.63 is way too high for someone that crashed on to the boards and then fell. Afterwards, puts a hand down on a 3Axle. Where are the mandatory deductions? How the hell do some judges give him deductions of -2GOE when he crashed on to the boards and fell down right away. Do other skaters, coaches, and judges review these tapes later and raise a voice about it?
@huigomi you're right but ...Patrick playing at home... important races you should do in a country where there is this sport (north pole ha ha)..however patrick is phenomenal even if it falls
he's always a bit overscored

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Ohhhh, ignorance at its best. Everyone commenting should read about what makes a performance. IT ISN'T JUST ABOUT JUMPS.

He is a great skater. It was pity that he crashed on to the boards.
because that 4T-3Tseemed beautiful.
But still,he fell and hand down on a 3A. one judge scored 0 GOE for hand down 3A.
If that was other skater, I'm sure that hand down would be -1 or -2 GOE.
I would agree 9.75 for skating skill for his CLEAN skate.
But with 1 fall and a hand down....
I mean c'mon!! fair judge pleeeeeeeeese!!

He does not fail the first jump. Hit a wall after 4-3.
I think he should be a great step evaluated.

@EEDiazL He got 1 -1 too on the quad toe.
Skate4Life827 2 months ago
@EEDiazL
He only got -2 because he hit the ice before he hit the boards. He is too good, he could go and do singles and still win.
