  • Thumbs up for Abobo's Big Adventure!

  • i hated that u had to fight your twin no matter who you picked

  • how do you do the two hand slap?

  • @HandA711 After one kick you press punch.. or after 4 punches its a combo ender.

The only fucked thing is.. you have to be perfectly aligned with the opponent to finish with it. In other word. You cannot walk up or down and throw a kick and let the opponent walk into the active frame then finish with it.. You can only finish with it it you walk up or down to align yourself with your opponent.

  • music sounds a tad slower than it was. was this slightly slowed down?

  • Now this is Nintendo's Double Dragon! cuz many videos that are here in youtube are the sega master version

  • epic music

  • @jgonz185

You should search "double dragon on piano". This dude plays this theme quite well...

  • Favorite guy in this game by far for me...I remember when 2 of them ripped through the wall in the forest and I was like OH SHIT!- these guys don't play

  • yo this nigga used to scare the shit out of me when i was a kid. i didn't care about how big he was but his facial expression was pure nightmare. i think one time at the end of the first level in double dragon, i flipped out and just ran off the conveyor belt i was so shook lol. same thing in that claustrophobic helicopter in double dragon 2.

  • So who do you think would win in a fight between Abobo and Bald Bull from Punch-Out?

  • 2 MUTCH ABOBOZ!!!!!!!!!!111

  • Whooooaaaa

  • i always loved this crazy music

  • The hit stun of that toe kick is incredible. The fact that you can link it into those one and two hit combos is nice as well. Your pokes are respectable. I think Justin Wong might need to work on this if he stands a chance at beating you.

  • i like how even if you win the music at the end sound like you lose no matter what lol ;)

  • I can tell you're playing a PAL version of the game. The slower music is making my ears bleed. Why not just use an NTSC version? Otherwise, I enjoy watching two Abobo's abobo the crap out of each other.

  • Abobo is my last name no joke

  • Some people wish to go to Heaven when they die....I simply wish to be reborn as Abobo.

  • abobo was mentioned in a battle rap check out soul khan vs zm lmao

  • well listen up abobo ya fuckin homo fatheaded penicl lead ill stab your ass bro your going down in the hole dont even kno jump kick to the face takin u out with one blow :50

  • Is one of them Bolo? ;-)

  • Love the freeze-frame at the end!

  • lol abobo hahaha

  • this game is hard and challeging? far from it, beat it without losing a single life

  • hey the song is actually at arcade speed haha

  • you know abobo has a really fast punch , you have to hit both a and b really fast at the same time and you will se his arms go up to punch but the retract , keep doing it and he punches super fast .

  • Id fuck linda

  • ........

  • i think Abobo looks like George Foreman lol

  • That is my ringtone. Only the chosen ones out there can recognize the tune when someone calls me.

  • i love dd but da only thing that gets 2 me is that they couldnt put 2players on da nes version but they put 2players on da fighting mode

  • ah the technical limitations of the nes. loved it.

  • Abobo was beaten with an ugly stick.

  • the music sounds really slow

  • might be the pal version, or the recording play back

  • I WISH THEY HAD MODE B FOR DD2 AND DD3

  • I call big buff guys abobo's. No one knows what the hell im talking about.

  • @nefarious520 lol

  • @nefarious520 LMAO!!! Im Weak as fuck...Me TOO!!!

  • I know what you're talking about.

  • Look at that big ESE hahahha "LA EME MOTHA"

  • real live abobo!!!

    search for "bob sapp"

  • LMAO! IT'S TRUE! HAHAHA

  • TRUE

  • And getting more off topic... Jeff was a head swap of the Lee brothers who could do all your moves (he was quite powerful) and was the mission 2 boss (you fought three or four of them with Willy at the end). The home versions either left him out, replaced him with Chin, or just had you fight what looked like a Lee brother of a different color, again to save memory.

  • Another bit of useless trivia.. the dark-haired thug with the hair that looks wet (or hanging down almost in his eyes if it were longer) with the open jacket.. his name is ROPER. But due to bad japanese engrish, he comes "Loper" (or Lopar) in some of the instruction manuels. For some reason in this version they decided to spell his name phonetically in the VS Mode as "ROWPER" (and shorten Williams to WILL and Chintai to Chin; the last of which wasn't in the arcade game, but was instead Jeff).

  • roper and williams were both characters in enter the dragon. As was Bolo.

  • isn't Abobo black?

  • Abobo is actually the bearded, mohawk-wearing boss in the original Double Dragon arcade game. He was black and there was a green version of him at the end of Mission 3. The home versions of DD didn't have as much memory for sprites or simultaneous colors as the arcade version, so they took shortcuts. One of these was to take Bolo (a headswap of Abobo who tended to be white, but also had a black variant) and use instead. So for a generation of kids who only played this at home, he was Abobo.

  • I never really made a difference in my mind between Bolo and Abobo. He's just that big guy I fought. That's all. XD

  • Yeah, to save memory the home versions just used Bolo with different colors. Abobo was identical to him only with a different head (again, just like Jeff was identical to Billy & Jimmy but with a different head, and in the home versions to save memory they just recolored the Lee brothers).

  • Are you a foremost Abobo historian?

  • some versions he was.

  • Love the kick/slap combo (though Linda's version is funnier). Abobo is such a badass... striking fear into the hearts of many kids in the arcade. In this version he's more like a bald midget wrestler... especially in this mode where he's the same size as the other players instead of towering over them. Still cool!

  • Abobo's sprites are the same as Mode A!

  • The Vs. mode of this game was legendary... the best thing about this port. I wish someone would re-do it with arcade graphics!

  • THis brings back some good memories

  • yes! the Abobo theme! that track was so funny. it reminded me of the stage where the blocks jab you from out of the wall. i wish my NES still functioned.

  • zodiac, get yourself a Retro Duo for your old games... they're cheap and I've heard good things about it, plus it plays SNES too (there's another player that does Genesis+NES that might be good too). Only thing it won't do is non-standard controller games (as it just uses SNES pads). But supposedly an adapter is in the works to use the zapper and so forth.

  • cool thanks, i'll check it out

  • just get an emulator.

  • Ahhh childhood

  • That music was awesome. I still remember it, after all these years...

  • Wow! Old school!

  • i like that music too. but it was better on other versons i think.

  • Oh man i always used to like the music for Abobo's stage! lol

  • ABOBO smash ABOBO >_< SMASHHHHHHHHHHH

  • yeap

  • the song rules is like pink floyd song:P

  • thanks for posting this, i looked all over the web to show someone the music from this. it seemed slower than i remember. is it?

  • It is. And the notes are a bit lower than normal.

  • Love this game for the NES!
