New fed taxes on soda and sugar drinks for universal health-care? Taxes will cover a fraction of the cost. Obama said he was not raising the taxes on those under 250K? The cost $1.2 trillion. We cannot afford this! I HAVE MY OWN HEALTHCARE AND DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR YOURS! Tax includes soda, fruit drinks, energy drinks, sports drinks and green teas. Consuming sweetened drinks leads to obesity, diabetes, etc. The tax will lower consumption, reduce health problems,save medical costs? WTF!

How the government expands their control: 1. Congress passes incentives such as free health care to bring illegal immigrants into the country. 2. Illegal immigrants use the health care system for "free", but nothing is free. Someone has to pay for it. 3. Hospitals and insurance companies would like to make a profit. but in order to do so, they have to increase costs on paying customers. 4. Government now has a problem they can solve. So, they expand by administering universal health care.
