@TheCleverArachnid It's because nearly every Kanji in this songs are 1-2grade Kanjis :) So Kids learn them fairly early and there is no need for furigana..
I like how this is all set up. I recognize the US VHS release of the program, and I pointed out the text that was translated. And the Japanese dub is cool! :D
I have a Japanese Sing Along tape, too! It's one of the Pocahontas ones, with Just Around the River-bend and Colors of the Wind, but I'm not sure what the "official" title is. One thing that's odd is the intro (what's shown at 00:14 of your tape) is in English instead of Japanese, and what's shown at 00:37 of your tape isn't on mine at all!!
2:16 With a dig dig dig dig From morning to night With a dig dig dig dig Use your strength [Happy] Trade and propersity [Grumpy] With a dig, by brightly chattering, hoy! [Bashful] Brightly (and echo) [Sneezy] Brightly (and echo) [All] Dazzling diamonds With a dig dig dig dig All day we do our best With a dig dig dig dig Our power runs out. With a collection without end Moreover, we can get rubies Whatever is good, if it's treasure. With a dig digga ding ding Hi-ho we like our job.
YAY!
I'm gonna download it in case you get suspended

I love when the Teacher smacked the dunce on the head with his cane while shouting "SO!" in response to the student's answer.
It made me laugh.

Do you know if they did the translations specifically for this or if they translated it along with the movie premiers?

at least they tried to keep it close to the original voices unlike american dubbs with anime where the voices can be way off
jigglypuff2cute 1 year ago
@jigglypuff2cute That's because Disney handles it's own international dubbing process.
