Underclock the card and turn up the fan speed, may lower frames a little but it should fix the problem.

You could try that, I heard the new 48x0 series ATi cards are having trouble with heat because of the fan speed, you can fix that though.
Might be the same with this card.

XFX 9800GTX-512MB Graphic Card.
650 Watt PSU (Antec)
Mother Board: MSI-Q35MDO
HDD : 500GB SATA 7200RPM 8Mb Cache
OS: Windows vista home prenium 32-bit.
and i'm running it on max so lol :O

Try running in windowed mode, then minimize and maximize again. That solves a lot of my video problems, I'm using an 8500...

My friend had a very very similar graphics problem. All he did was COMPLETELY remove AoC from his computer, and did a fresh install. Fixed his problem.

SOlution is plain and simple. Ignore and fuck Nvidia and get a decent ATI 3870 card with catalyst drivers ;)

i had the exact problem with my 8800gt its a faulty card you got there. its artifacting. due to overheating or just the card being faulty

do you have any status on what your CPU VGA temps are??? maybe you are over heating

Good luck getting this working. When you do, and if you have the cash, I highly recommend running it on a widescreen LCD display 20" or bigger.

You should try using driver sweeper at guru3d to remove the nvidia drivers, then install the 175.16 nvidia drivers.
