  • I'm not an artist, but when I look at your water drop it looks real. Another thing, I am trying to learn how to draw faces, since I am not an artist I couldn't understand shading and now I get it. Go figure. thanx

  • Well, I'm no scientist, so I have no idea why, but if you look at a water drop, the shadow strangely appears on the same side as the light is coming from, so that's how I paint them.

  • @hilarymayes maybe the shadow created is then reflected by the water?

  • not easy! have a look at this video ' Relaxing Rain/Storm Sound 2/2' it isn't a tutorial but I would probably use angled marks like the ones shown , good luck.

  • althrough water drops arnt perfect circles. Un influenced beads of water do take the shap of a PERFECT water circle. And the curves and edges follow a very specific mathematical map

  • what program did you use?

  • The image is actual paint (scanned in). I reversed it in G.I.M.P bit by bit and saved every step to make the individual frames.

    The movie was put together in windows movie maker.

  • :D great, another tip, the same principal works for eyes ........the part of the eye with the white sparkle is darker than the opposite part of the iris, good luck with it, :)
