Not really. Labs are known for having some of the softest mouths in the world. They supposedly can carry an egg in their mouths without breaking it.

Our dogs never harmed us and licked the life out of my brother when he was a baby. The dogs were always super protective, too.

and my mom is against it, she said that you can´t trust an animal with a baby. I love animals nevertheless, just unsure about taking that risk even though it´s so small

@esrapk Well you should not leave the baby in reach when they are at home. Because the baby(!) could go on the dogs nerves and the dog could be overwhelmed.

This is one of the only things wich should be mentioned in this case. And of course there is no animal wich is 100% safe, that´s because they are living beeings.

You "just" need to socialice and train your dog.
