@jsuglia What's more serious than the truth? That's all he writes about. Sure the story and characters are fake, but the themes behind them are the bare naked truth. No fairy tale happy ending bullshit. Real life. He's sharing his inner most feelings and secrets. Maybe you should just stop pretending to be someone you're not.

@lethalstingfilms I can actually relate to some of the characters in his story, I knew somebody who was just like Denny from "Choke", or even Tyler from "Fight Club." His characters are similar to Shakespeare; they're symbols. Take Marla Singer from Fight Club for example; she is a portrayal of nihilism, but she has very human qualities that shine through. So I wouldn't call them fake, they are just complex symbols.
