A fun list. :) Heartily agree with Mr. Me, Drink!, The Bells are Ringing, Shadow Government, Dr. Worm, and most of the top twenty. Don't agree so much on Twisting, Spiraling Shape, Paleontologist, Why Does the Sun Shine?, and Istanbul (Not Constantinople). One's I'd add: Careful What You Pack, I'm Impressed, Vestibule, Museum of Idiots, and Hey Mr. DJ I Thought You Said We Had a Deal. Plus I'd move some from below 50 up to the 20... :P
Spoiler alert (not the TMBG song, but seriously, there are spoilers in this comment):
I'm glad you appreciate The Spine as much as I do, but no Stalk of Wheat?
Pet Name deserves to be higher.
I disagree in particular with #22, #14, and #11. What's so great about I Am A Paleontologist? It's just a song about paleontology; besides, the singer is sup-par.
I also disagree with #8.
I believe Doctor Worm was placed appropriately. People of all ages can enjoy that song; my mother does, and she's 51.
@brightorangepants I would rank "The Guitar" considerably lower than #8. It might not even be in my Top 100. Also, no Hide Away Folk Family? No Turn Around? No Wearing A Raincoat?
There are a lot of things in this list I disagree with. I can't believe "Mr. Me" was so high on the list, and I wouldn't have put "Dr. Worm" in my Top 10 because I'm not fourteen years old. But the reason I really wanted to comment is to thank you for putting "First Kiss" on here instead of "Another First Kiss", which is an awful version of a song that was awesome the first time.
I think 'No' was kind of fun to listen to, but as they have said live, even the Johns put their music into an adults and a children's category. They're just for two different audiences.

And, of course, "Birdhouse" gets #1.

Personally, I was a fan of Mink Car. And which direction did you want #8 to go? I would have it at least that high.
Although it's really difficult to put great TMBG songs in any sort of order because they're all so different.

@doctoredelstein There isn't anything wrong with Dr. Worm. Thank you.

What did you think about actual children's songs being placed on this list? I disagreed with most of them.

To start with, I wasn't impressed.
But the top ten is pretty much spot on, I reckon.
