When you love someone wholly, there are no conditions applied. Some people are straight, some are gay, some are cool, some are not. I love my gay friends. If you look at Genesis Chapters 19 or Judges Chapt 19-20, God were did not spare those ppl who did not repent to the end. Also, the city of Pompeii proves God's judgement with ppl who will ignore God's standards to the end. God will be patient with such ppl until some point, but in the end such unrepentent souls will be damned. I have so far given you warnings and you have not repented, so God will deal with you according what you deserve.

If God is all-powerful, there's no way we could properly interpret his words, and therefore human hatred ignorance and greed crept in and made a home in "God's" word. Ok, so if these laws were "time-sensitive" then why does one law, the one about gays, carry over and not the others? I read Leviticus, and it doesn't say "just for now, don't eat shellfish." I see why you don't want to continue, you know you're wrong, and it's easier to claim you're right, and get out while you're "ahead." If these laws are customary to their time and place, then being gay is only a sin in that time and place, and isn't applicable now, just like the other laws.
Also Jesus said "It's not what goes into your mouth that defiles but what comes out of it" meaning that what is in our mind is truly what God counts. The customary laws were there for our benefits, such as our health, and to represent God's holiness to His ppl, but ultimately God will look at our hearts and mind, which lead to our actions as if we follow God's word in obedience. Well, I wanted to humanize a gay person, so we're not just abstract things for you to hate and villify. I actually asked for the precise passages in the bible that states "Homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God" or the one about gay people needing to be put to death...? Since you have yet to produce those, then I am to assume it is you, not I, not listening.
Read Leviticus chapter 20 as a whole, and especially verse 13. Also read First Corinthian (1 Corinthian) Chapter 6 verses 9-10. Reference to Romans Chapter 1 verses 26-27. If you are truly after the truth and willing to listen to God's words, then you should be the one who search through God's word for the answer, and not be complacent that other ppl didn't yet provided for you what the scriptures actually says.
Ok, the Leviticus did call for gays to be "put to death," but the same chapter calls for the deaths of "wizards." I should take that seriously? In Corinthians the closest thing about gays is "effeminite" but it also lists "fornicators" which means people who have sex for any reason outside of procreation.... I'm sure you've had sex for pleasure once or twice.... Therefore you yourself will not "inherit the kingdom of Heaven." Romans was an utter mess, so I wouldn't even know how to comment on it

Most of Bible's mentioning of the background at the time of Old Testament are symbolic of our spiritual warfare. However, all of God's laws given to us will stand for eternity, and will not change even as ppl try to nullify them. Everyone who sins deserve eternal death and punishment in hell, no matter how small or big they are, but if one confess of one's sin and repent, accepting Jesus' forgiveness of the sin, they are in God's grace and avoid the eternal punishment
If you still have any inkling of seriousness about truly finding about God's words to your "question" then I might suggest that you read an NIV version of the Bible, which is the closest English version to the original Aramaic. There are LOTS of English Bible versions, many of which are not trustworthy, since the translators did not translate with authenticity to the original language. However, if your intention is only argue with me about this matter, you are wasting time

The "word" of God, in the bible, sets forth proper guidelines when buying or selling slaves. Should we still be in the slave trade? One more thing is that if you look closely at Leviticus and Deueronomy,there are degrees of sins that God differentiates certain laws to be more grave sins if you break them.There are different degrees of punishments mentioned in the Bible that follows if one breaks certain rules. I already told you, but you are not listening to what say...or read in that matter. They are in Leviticus and Deuteronomy..obviously you do not take God's words the way it is, and what really counts is not our "common sense" but the commandment of God who made us, and thus own us. I'm still having a lil trouble with my parents, and they are going through the stage of "dont ask don't tell" and just plain being in denial and not wanting to talk about it. I think one of the things parents expirence when they find out their kid is gay, and they are against being gay, is that they struggle with the fact that their child is the same person they were ten minutes ago, only now they know their gay.
Sure, it depends on personality and on circumstances if you are able to have a good a relationsship if straight or gay. My humble subjective experience is that gay relationsship is about narcism and selflove. Straight men tell me that its hard to get through to a woman.But they get to a point where they simply know its right even or because they are different. To get through to a man was possible but not without a feeling of doubt.That doubt never left somehow, made me unhappy and unmotivated.
If being gay is a choice, then being straight is aswell. Does that mean that every heterosexual is straight because they are choosing not to be gay? No they are straight because they are. period. I am gay because I am. period. Why would I choose to be hated by the majority of my community?!
You're doing a great service to the community, wbesen. More people need to know about the harm that these so-called therapists do to the people they purport to help.

If you look at Genesis Chapters 19 or Judges Chapt 19-20, God were did not spare those ppl who did not repent to the end. Also, the city of Pompeii proves God's judgement with ppl who will ignore God's standards to the end. God will be patient with such ppl until some point, but in the end such unrepentent souls will be damned. I do not hate you since I do not even know you, but the more you try to advocate being gay using the Bible, the more foolishness you end up display here, and that is what I am seeing about you.

Ok, so if these laws were "time-sensitive" then why does one law, the one about gays, carry over and not the others? I read Leviticus, and it doesn't say "just for now, don't eat shellfish." I see why you don't want to continue, you know you're wrong, and it's easier to claim you're right, and get out while you're "ahead." If these laws are customary to their time and place, then being gay is only a sin in that time and place, and isn't applicable now, just like the other laws.

Also Jesus said "It's not what goes into your mouth that defiles but what comes out of it" meaning that what is in our mind is truly what God counts. The customary laws were there for our benefits, such as our health, and to represent God's holiness to His ppl, but ultimately God will look at our hearts and mind, which lead to our actions as if we follow God's word in obedience. Jesus contunued to warn against Pharisees who only followed customary laws but not being holy in their minds

Well, I know I'm a good person, I don't need validation from a hateful person like you. God knows my heart is true, and that's all that matters. God knows what God wants, and nothing you or your bible says will make your hatred justifiable. I can only imagine what God thinks of hate being used in His name. I'm not trying to "nullify" God's word, but man's imperfect interpretation of it.

I'm seeking to right the injustices against me and the homosexual community at large, which for too long has been a form of institutional bigotry because it seems to be the only part of the Old Testament the bigots want to use. You are refusing parts of the bible, if you eat a pig, if you work on Sunday, if you wear two different fabrics, hell, if you've ever gotten into an arguement with your mother of father.... It isn't me, but you, who is cherry-picking God's word to work for you.

I've not once on this site claimed to be Christian. I'm trying to better understand why there are so many contradictions in your arguement, because you claim the words of God are irrefutable, and completely refuse to acknowledge the other words of God in the same book, that one cannot wear two different fabrics, or eat shellfish or pork, or plant two different crops in the same field. I'm sure God was talking more about promiscuity, and less about homosexuality.

I actually asked for the precise passages in the bible that states "Homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God" or the one about gay people needing to be put to death...? Read Leviticus chapter 20 as a whole, and especially verse 13. Also read First Corinthian (1 Corinthian) Chapter 6 verses 9-10. Reference to Romans Chapter 1 verses 26-27. If you are truly after the truth and willing to listen to God's words, then you should be the one who search through God's word for the answer, and not be complacent that other ppl didn't yet provided for you what the scriptures actually says.

Ok, the Leviticus did call for gays to be "put to death," but the same chapter calls for the deaths of "wizards." I should take that seriously? In Corinthians the closest thing about gays is "effeminite" but it also lists "fornicators" which means people who have sex for any reason outside of procreation.... I'm sure you've had sex for pleasure once or twice.... Therefore you yourself will not "inherit the kingdom of Heaven." Romans was an utter mess, so I wouldn't even know how to comment on it

First of all....I truly doubt that you are seriousness about willing to take the Bible seriously as God's word, and also at the same time surprised by your ignorance of biblical knowledge, while seemingly trying to quote from Bible and "pretend" to be a Christian. If you are not willing to accept the Bible as God's word, then that is whole another story, and you have nothing to do with do with God nor Jesus, and thus you are not a Christian.

I believe in God, and actually consider religion and all it's trappings as a manmade roadblock between ourselves and God. Much of the bible was written thousands of years ago, when slavery was culturally acceptable; should it still be, as is advocated in the bible?

I'm not trying to disprove the actual word of God, but questioning the validity of the bible as God's word. There are currently 2 1/2 books on earth that claim to be God's word, and those are just the official books. The bible, old and new testament, (the 1 1/2) and the Qu'ran. Which is it? I doubt God deliberately wanted to fool a large swath of the populace, in order to ensure what? Organized religion is a sham, used to control the masses, while God's true face has been obscured.

Most of Bible's mentioning of the background at the time of Old Testament are symbolic of our spiritual warfare. However, all of God's laws given to us will stand for eternity, and will not change even as ppl try to nullify them. Everyone who sins deserve eternal death and punishment in hell, no matter how small or big they are, but if one confess of one's sin and repent, accepting Jesus' forgiveness of the sin, they are in God's grace and avoid the eternal punishment

If you still have any inkling of seriousness about truly finding about God's words to your "question" then I might suggest that you read an NIV version of the Bible, which is the closest English version to the original Aramaic. There are LOTS of English Bible versions, many of which are not trustworthy, since the translators did not translate with authenticity to the original language. However, if your intention is only argue with me about this matter, you are wasting time

If you are only try to use the Bible as a tool of argument, while you don't seriously believe in it, them that is your problem, and probelm between you and God Himself, since God will never be convinced to change his original meaning of His words.

I'm just trying to find out why you would use a "good" book to advocate the death of gays, or anyone else for that matter. The "word" of God, in the bible, sets forth proper guidelines when buying or selling slaves. Should we still be in the slave trade? Why single out gays, and go to videos like this, to try and make gay people feel unwelcome? Should Bill Clinton, John McCain, Newt Gingrich, and others be put to death, as the bible states, because they're adulterers?

Ok, I'm not "blaming" God for who I am. I'm perfectly fine with who I am. I'm a veteran of two foreign wars, pay my taxes and vote. I know there's no litmus to get into heaven, only an acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. It is man, claiming to work in Christ's name, that are imposing these tests, when, obviously we're not hurting anyone by being who we are. We're not telling you who to love, and neither is God.

One more thing is that if you look closely at Leviticus and Deueronomy,there are degrees of sins that God differentiates certain laws to be more grave sins if you break them.There are different degrees of punishments mentioned in the Bible that follows if one breaks certain rules. Whereas, God did not command to put to death when you eat shelfish, pork , or wear two different fabrics, and so on, God clearly commanded a severe consequence and death for committig such sin as homosexualiy n adultry

I already told you, but you are not listening to what say...or read in that matter. They are in Leviticus and Deuteronomy..obviously you do not take God's words the way it is, and what really counts is not our "common sense" but the commandment of God who made us, and thus own us. God himself and God's words are lot more worth than even human lives,because all the worthiness ultimately comes from Him, and those who purposefully degrade his glory obviously deserves death from God's point of view

The only thing that sucks about being gay, are the people who choose to believe they're "divinely right" at the expense of the truth, which is being gay is natural, happens all throughout nature. God even blessed a covenant between Jonathan and David. They were gay lovers, but God saw this as true love, and not some passionate fling, like David was known to do with women...

Awesome and informative video. My mom loves me and loves my wife. The bible arguments are silly the bible also preaches against Usury, which is borrowing money with interest charged. That is more the root of the US's problems than gay teens. Christians need to start obeying the kosher laws cause Leviticus says so.

As much as she loves her son, she cannot change or twist God's words to accomodate her own convenience.These ppl who "confess" on these websites doesn't truly realize that they are ultimately trying to put themselves before God, which is what sin is to begin with.What they say about is basically how they came to realize that they got "comfortable" enough to distort God's word to fit into their conveniences, and to encourage others do the same

Here is a passage:1 Samuel 16:7, which says "But the Lord said unto Samuel, 'Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth, not as a man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." So many gays are good people, pure of heart and intentions, but are still held down by the false belief that God makes gay people just to damn them.

This really moved me. What a wonderful, loving mother. I'm still having a lil trouble with my parents, and they are going through the stage of "dont ask don't tell" and just plain being in denial and not wanting to talk about it. Now I'm not religious, but it's people like her that helps me from thinking all religious people are hateful and self absorbed like the commenter below me.

So the thoughts run through their heads on what to do. I LOVE my parents and they sacrafice for me every day of their lives. They just arent ready to hear their kid is gay. I can live with that for now, but eventually its going to come out. FOR KIDS WHO DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. Just kinda lead your parents into it. DO NOT THROW IT IN THEIR FACES.

Sure, it depends on personality and on circumstances if you are able to have a good a relationsship if straight or gay. My humble subjective experience is that gay relationsship is about narcism and selflove. Straight men tell me that its hard to get through to a woman.But they get to a point where they simply know its right even or because they are different. To get through to a man was possible but not without a feeling of doubt.That doubt never left somehow, made me unhappy and unmotivated.

I know! I've never understood how people can logically believe that someone would just wake up one day and say "Hey, I think I'll be gay, and face ten times the discrimination of the average person.
