I hope you're right the Iraqi dinar will appreciate. BUT Iraq created a new currency replacing that with Saddam's pic. Why not believe them now they've announced they'll create another new currency reflecting both their official languages? Current dinar liquidity at banks is also a laugh. Bank fees and lower buy-back rates leave holders in the neg now. Imagine bank buy-back rates in a market is flooded with folks trying to cash in the dinars they're holding before these, too, become worthless.

all I know is that they would be VERY lucky to revalue at a $.05/Dinar (Iraqi).

They DO have the #2 oil reserve in the world and are #2 Exporter of Dates (figs) but other than that,the only thing they have to look forward to is growing industry. The only way they are going to revalue at a dollar is IF the currency revalues while the the US Dollar is DEVALUED so low that obviously the Iraqi Dinar is worth more, but not necessarily because it increased in value as much as the dollar had fallen.

No son, I am invested in Iraq. The real deal is the ISX exchange where I see growth from free shares and dividend. The paper dinar just sit around collecting dust. To think really hard, why would they give you easy money for doing nothing for them, but hold their money???

There will be an LOP most likely, and people who are really invested and helping the Iraqi out (ISX) will be the ones getting paid.

There is no investment law ... you are all buying ISX via proxy before there is a law to hold them true to it. And there is no hyper inflation (unlike zimbabwe) inflation is at 3.4% and there is a resource that they have that zimbabwe does not .... OIL!!! Most likey there will be NO LOP but anything is possible, but lastly, do you think the value of the stock and the value of a country's currency are not symbiotic.
