Sometimes the pops and hiss help with the nostalgia.
For me anyways...
we weren't the best at taking care of our vinyl.(lol)
Roger had so many versions done -I thought my Greatest Hits (cd)version was the Original-

RW's music and voice is so haunting and beautiful. This and other songs of his sure make me remember better times and better places. People in my life long passed away. I miss all of it and it is nice to still have the music though.

Great song and singer - one of my favorites. This song makes me think of my grandfather who I did not meet until he was 81 and I was 20. He passed away shortly after that. He used to talk about the world and it is almost like this song was written about him. Thanks for posting, but it sounds like your record is a bit scratchy from listening over the years...
