For those who care - the old woman who says "Where?" is the same woman in Spielberg's "Duel" when The Truck ran over her snakes. Also, the guy with the spaghetti is Elisha Cook, Jr. He was great in Stanley Kubrick's "The Killing."
I wonder if that's Dan Akyroid in prosthethics next to the guy with the spaghetti. John Belushi had a scene as an old man in the Hollywood blvd riot scene.
A P-40 would need the highest octane available...hence Wild Bill ordered "Ethyl" It contained tetraethyl lead which was added to increase octane for high compression engines, it was used because despite the well known hazards of lead it was cheaper than other additives.
@MithraisAugustus Regular, though they didn't have unleaded gas back then. Even today, AVGas is leaded, it's just much lower octane (100) than what was around back then (about 130).
When I went flying for Civil Air Patrol's cadet program, my pilot looked and (sort of) sounded like Capt. Bill Wild... When I saw him, I was thinking to myself, "Oh boy...." LMAO
Oh yes, remember this one and love it. Thanks for sharing......Roy
